Dr. Annie Trucahn M Do, MD

We found Dr. Do when I was pregnant and looking for a second opinion on severe abdominal pain I was having. She took me in immediately and found that I had several uterine fibroids. One of which was blocking my cervix, and if I had gone into labor naturally (as my previous doctor was encouraging me to do), I would have a high risk of cutting off my baby's oxygen and bleeding out myself. Not something anyone half way through their pregnancy wants to hear... but I was so thankful to have found Dr. Do and kept her as my primary OBGYN from then on out. Dr. Do was always incredibly attentive, and took the time to explain all options, and address any issues I had. Is she busy? absolutely. Isn't that to be expected of a sought after doctor? I later had to have the fibroids surgically removed, and Dr. Do performed that surgery as well. I have always felt safe and HEARD under her care. I would (and will always) reccommend her to anyone looking for an OBGYN.

I think I’ve finally had enough with Dr. Do and her office staff. I’ve been her patient for the past two - three years now and I thought she was just busy and I understood that. But then with my last visit everything changed. I came for mirena removal and I had an appointment for that. I previously made sure that the front desk knew the reason of my appointment. Dr. Do left me waiting for 45 min in the cold room with no clothes on. And when she finally came in she told me that the procedure cannot be done that day and I need to come back because she needs more time for the procedure and she has other patients. Wow. After leaving me to wait for her for 45 min. Obviously, I was upset and made that clear as I took a day off from work to come in. At that point I was ready not to come back to her office. All of the sudden, she was able to perform the procedure. This waiting issue has happened before but I stayed quite. Later I got a notice from my insurance that I owe close to… $2,000 for that procedure because it seems like the wrong code was sent to my insurance. Birth control is covered under my insurance. I’ve been trying to reach their billing manager for the past 45 days. 45 days! The front desk would always tell me the same thing: “The billing manager is not here but I can take a message and he will call you back”. Nothing happens, no one called. So after a week I called again and got the same response. And I called again, and again... well after week...I’m finally tired of calling. Front desk people at Dr. Do’s office are useless. I hate to say/write this but I was patient enough and I don’t deserve to be treated this way. Nor does anyone else. My friend had the same experience with Dr. Do and her office. The staff is not able to provide the simplest information, nor spell patients’ name and last name. Dr. Do is careless and literally has two-three patients at the same. There is an absolute lack of attention and care and it seems like the only important thing is to hit the numbers and money target. Not going back. Not recommending Dr. Do .

First they cancelled my appointment without notifying me, THEN she did two biopsies with NO anesthetic. Who does that?! I had to ask for a lidocaine ...

don't go to dr do if you are pregnant or about to give birth. if you get her in the hospital ask for another dr immediately. she doesn't know what she is doing and will make reccomendations to make her life easier whatever the cost is to you. avoid her at all costs. do your research when looking for a doctor. if your doctors aren't on call and you get her ask for someone else.
