Dr. Annie Ray Su, MD

Dr. Su is very professional, knowledgeable, and explains things well to her patients. You can tell by her attitude that she really cares about her patients. Her office staff is also very friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend her to anyone that needs a hematologist.

My husband was referred to her by our internist. She is a poor communicator . She provided conflicting information regarding his diagnosis and when we asked for his records so we could seek a second opinion from MD Andersen she copped an attitude . Her body language is very transparent and she came across as having quite a temper . It was very surprising and disappointing to observe given her education and training.

Dr Su speaks rapidly. In my experience she seemed in a hurry to ask questions and explain technical info, but not actually listen. I had a friend who is a patient advocate with me at the appointment. This person interacts with other doctors and said that Dr Su was difficult for her to follow too - and she is not even ill! So just imagine how hard it was for me to keep up with the doctor. Finally, Dr Su was not curious as to why things didn't seem right with me despite following her instructions. She insisted it wasn't her area. Luckily I sought out another doctor in her specialty who helped me figure it out and I am much better for it. Ultimately, I would not recommend Dr Su to a friend or family member.
