As a healthcare provider this admitting doctor is the most incompetent one you will ever meet aside from the worst hospital she practices in Morristown Medical Center. Beware and check your chart when you are in her hands. Thanks to her my 71yr young mother passed away due to her errors that tragically cost my mother her life. I was bedside & witnessed everything, no sooner we arrived instead of worrying about her care, this doctor’s 1st priority, was did she have a DNR? Why I have no idea she wasn’t in critical condition? We didn’t nor did we sign one with her and somehow she categorized my mother as a DNR B when we didn’t sign anything!!!! Nor can the hospital provide any signed documentation of a DNR or this status. Also, upon admittance she charted and denied my mother critical care “if she ever needed it”, this obviously is attached to a DNR not quite sure why or how someone can be denied critical care if you need help but this hospital sure doesn’t give it to you. … Gave her a high dosage of Tylenol that threw her into a semi-coma the next morning, My mother had a well-managed autoimmune liver disease and you should never give this to a patient since the liver can’t metabolize it properly, taking a high dose of Tylenol and major contraindication it toxifies the liver, something a Dr. you would think would know. All these errors led to several misdiagnoses and being labeled a DNR B it prevented my mother from the appropriate care she needed, like specialists and being staffed onto the appropriate floor. If that isn’t enough she was Incapable of listing her pre-existing conditions painting a picture of making her look sicker than she was when she was admitted with a UTI that cleared up in 2 days. She was in such a rush she didn’t have her diagnoses inputted correctly even when I went over each one in DETAIL. The inaccuracies charted on my mother's intake were endless to not even being able to get her age correct. How do you get admitted for a simple UTI that cleared up in two days and never made it out of this hospital alive when we were told we were leaving but instead my mother drowned and didn’t receive the critical she needed all thanks to this Doctors errors. This DNR got her staffed her onto a teaching floor where residents took care of her no specialists called in and she was treated like a guinea pig for 28 days. Dr. Rodrigues there aren’t enough words to say for my anger towards you for your incompetence and senseless errors. The heartache you have caused my family and my poor young children are immeasurable. I have some advice for you, you really need to worry more about patient care than policies. You robbed my amazing mother and my best friend and have changed my life forever. I hope you read this know that you have made my family to suffer such senseless sadness on a daily that will be forever without this amazing woman because of you!
