Dr. Anthony C Delgaizo, MD

It is painstaking to write this review, but Doctor Delgaizo was my father's doctor in a very well known nursing home in Norther New Jersey. He was the nursing home doctor, so he was the only urologist whom could care for my father. He showed no empathy for my father whom had an enlarged prostate which required the insertion of catheters during the last two years of his life. He referred to my beloved father, his patient, as "a charity patient", because he had to make extra trips to the nursing home to care for him in cases of emergencies when was painfully retaining urine and his kidney levels were rising rapidly. He showed no sympathy for us, his family when he told us quite frankly that my father's outlook was grim and that he would not live long with his medical condition. My father's male caregivers whom had overseen a procedure told me that Dr Del Gaizo was very rough with my father when inserting catheters to the extent that he damaged my father's male private area… permanently to the point of distortion, making daily cleanings almost unbearable for my father. He would never speak with my father to let him know what was going to happen in advance, which was his patient's rights. My father in law whom was also his patient, said that he was very rough with him during an in office medical procedure and that he performed it incorrectly and had to do the entire medical procedure over again causing him much pain. It is so very sad that a doctor would have such little empathy for his patients whom are suffering. I had the honor of being my father's 'voice and advocate ' while he was ill. He was a wonderful father and my dad was greatly loved for his gentle demeanor. Sadly, my father did end up dying due to his medical condition, but he suffered greatly during the last two years of his life. I felt it necessary to protect other patients with this review.

Dr. Del Gaizo appeared to be genuinely interested in my health concerns.

A great doctor who really cares.
