Dr. Anthony Wayne Macasieb, DO

Where do I start, I needed a cortisone shot in my hand for carpal tunnel and it hurt the rest of the day. The next day my hand swells up and it hurts to move it. He has me come back in to look at it, do nothing but look at it, then charges me for it and writes me out of work for a week. He found an enlarged thyroid, orders a test on it and when I ask why it enlarged and should I worry he says "sometimes they just get big". Fast forward I'm at a new dr and I discover I have thyroid disease and had it for many years but dr. Macasieb never thought to order the test. Also when she gives me shots it doesn't hurt and I feel perfectly fine and can work. Run away from this dr. Run Away!!!!!!

Dr. Macasieb is a wonderful doctor! Every time I see him he listens carefully and offers suggestions as to what to do. I am also on medications from my therapist doctor and Dr. Macasieb always makes sure what he prescribes for me does not interfere with my other medications.

Very personable physician who took time to learn about my history (familial, emotional, and physical), and instilled a sense of calm during my visit. He is a man of faith as well as dedication to his patients' well-being.

Dr Macasieb was ok as a physician though he was in and out in a flash and created a diagnosis based on a 60 second discussion. He also didn't give enough time to discuss other concerns. I had called on several ocassions to change a prescription but it seemed to be too much for his staff to comprehend. My wife also waited 45 minutes for a simple blood draw while they marched other patients in front of her regardless of the fact that she had arrived first. The patients seemed to be more concerned about this than the staff. She was concerned that it might be based on the fact that she is a minority. Overall, I would not recommend this facility to treat my canine. Try Lakeside Family Practice instead. They are at least competent enough to correct a prescription over the phone without having to pay for another office visit which is what I was requested to do. D- at best!!!
