Dr. Anthony J. Patrello, MD

Dr. Patrello, in my opinion after meeting with 4 cardiologists, not counting my brother who was the first to treat me 4 years ago, is the exception although he should be the norm. He takes his time and you never feel rushed. I have been mildly "disabled" for the past 4 years because of my breathing. It's so easy for Pulmonary doctors to say it's COPD because then THEY get to abuse the insurance system by scheduling visits and follow-ups and RXs and tests Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is what Pulmonologists tell you when they can't find the EXACT disease or cause. Prescribe prescribe prescribe. Put me on 3 RXs. Dr. Patrello didn't think my problem was Pulmonary and said that he was going to make me better. HE DID!!! My breathing feels like it did 20 years ago. I'm not out of breath and filled with mucus. Trust what he says. He's the best I've met. He talks to you like a person, not like most Doctors who talk way over your head so that they can talk down to you. Thanks Doc!… Playing ball in the spring!

I would highly recommend Dr. Patrello. I am grateful for his expertise, knowledge, care and compassion. My experience at Montefiore/St. Lukes hospital was a postive one due to Dr. Patrello and his team. Thank you!

my name is Thomas Kelly seen dr. Anthony Patrello with pvc's I had a slow heart beats, then he put me on a drug for atrial tachycardia called verapamil 180mg it brought my heart beat under 40 beats a min I almost end it in the er I don't think he should be trusted . hes nothing but a drug pusher for the drug cartel=FDA be aware.atrial tachycardia, beta-blockers and calcium channel blockers, especially verapamil, are exceedingly unlikely to terminate it. I think he would do better as a salesman, I will not return to the heart center.

Great Doctor BUT he left Bergen Medical without notifying his patients. I call that unprofessional and uncaring.

Extremely professional, respectful doctor who discusses multiple options with the patient. Helps the patient to make the right decision without controlling the patient's knowledge and capacity to make the best decision.
