Anumeha Kumar Whisenhunt, DO, MPH

I liked Dr. Whisenhunt but this was hands down the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a doctor’s office staff. First, Tameka claimed that I did not have a referral for today. When I pulled up the referral from my PCP portal and emailed it to her, she told me that it was not for their office. When I pointed out that Dr. Whisenhunt was listed at the top of page three, she told me she hadn’t received it earlier and that I didn’t understand how referrals work. Now Tamika tells me that I need another referral for the follow up test that Dr. Whisenhunt ordered today and that I am solely responsible for getting that information to my insurance and getting it approved. She told me that her office would not directly communicate with either my PCP or my insurance company to help with this process. Does she expect my insurance to accept a patient’s word of mouth that a doctor has ordered this test, without the explicit order of a physician, the exact name of the test, or the… CPT code, etc? On top of this, when I asked to speak to an office manager, I was told she is out for three weeks, so apparently there is no one else I can speak to and get this resolved before my follow up test that is scheduled in two weeks. The woman instead transferred my call to Tameka, who again refused to help and when I pressed the issue, hung up on me. I really hope that there might be someone there who will offer to help since this office does not currently have an office manager to sort through this issue.

She is the most amazing Dr. I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and being her patient! I am fortunate.

It was very obvious this Dr Whisenhunt was interested in the money not the welfare of my husband. She did not like you asking questions, especially if she had to repeat herself. Sorry if we did not understand Vascular Surgery, but she went to school for it. Could she come and do my job and not ask questions??
