Dr. Anuj Prashar, DO

Dr. Prashar is by far one of the greatest Bariatric Surgeons in the DMV and possibly the east coast. This Gentlemen got me to where I needed to be in my life and essentially gave me a second lease on life. For all those seeking a similar procedure I 100% say to go to this wonderful person. The procedure I had done was the Gastric Bypass Ruan Y.

Dr. Prashar performed laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy on me in May 2018. He is an excellent doctor, explained everything and was very thorough in his follow ups. Highly recommend! I am down 125lbs.

Dr Prashar is well experienced and knowledgeable! He gives more than just 100% which is what anyone should want considering your having such an invasive life changing surgery. He takes pride and concern for each and every patient he has while listening and taking the time to speak with you. I am only 8 weeks post op and he still calls to check on me!! I love his concern, care, prayers and yet seriousness and professionalism for the work he does!! I’m a single hard working parent and I feel like he has given me a second chance at life and life filled with health, fun and adventures with my boys!!! I can’t say enough about Dr Prashar other than I have the most utmost respect and love for him!! I pray God continues to bless him, his family and his hands to heal!!!????????

I'm not usually one to write a review about a doctor, but this doctor changed that. Dr. Prashar is one of the most approachable, and understandable doctors I've ever met. Most of the doctors I've met over the years have little to no personality. It's a breath of fresh air to meet a confident surgeon with a sense of humor. I felt like I was in extremely capable hands before and after surgery. Thanks you so much Dr. Prashar!

I went to Dr. Prashar for a revision from sleeve to bypass & he offered me a second chance at life. My surgery went flawless and I feel great! He never judged me and always made me feel at ease. I chose him because he seems like a regular guy; not a stuck up, conceited doctor. He actually takes the time to listen and gives sound advice. He always asks me how my life is going, and he speaks about his family. He makes you feel comfortable. He cares! Do not hesitate to have him as your doctor.

Dr. Prashar bestows a bedside manner like no other physician. He is knowledgeable and sincere. He was patient with me during my office visits. He answered all of my questions without rushing the appointment. I felt safe under his care. I would recommend him to anyone seeking surgical intervention.

Dr. Prashar is a friendly guy but his ego gets in the way of the care he delivers. He wants everything post-surgery to be perfect, and he doesn't want to hear if it's not. He brags about himself and his work, and dismisses patients' concerns.

He's a good, friendly provider but moves too fast at times. For my post op appointment it would be nice to exam my incisions, check my stomach, listen to my breathing and review my vitals which my pulse was high but he never mentioned. However, excellent surgeon but just need to slow down and Examine his patients during post op and visits not just any questions for me.

I met Dr. Prashar at Carlisle Surgical Center. I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Prashar. He is very knowledgeable, personable, humble and very caring. He has performed bilateral ininqual hernia surgery and gallbladder surgery. He also performed a very difficult surgery on my 80 year old father-in-law. His Family doctor didn't recommend the surgery due to his age and medical problems. He wouldn't have lived very long without the surgery. Dr. Prashar performed the surgery and everything went extremely well. The staff are all very personable and caring. I would highly recommend Dr. Prashar to anyone needing the type of surgery he performs.

Performed my recent hernia surgery. Excellent doctor in every way! If I ever need another surgeon-he's my guy! Great guy, skilled surgeon!
