Dr. Anup Khatana, MD

My experience having cataract surgery with Dr. Khatana was very good. He is a good listener, & he took time to answer all my questions. He also explained what would happen during surgery (you're awake), and I had no complications. CEI is the best!!!!

I'm surprised to see positive reviews of Dr. Khatana. My experience with him was absolutely the worst I've had with any medical professional. I spent four hours in his offices/waiting rooms, most of that alone in an exam room, then rushed through a lot of tests. Had to return three days later for another test, because we "ran out" of time. I was told he'd contact me about his overall impressions within two weeks. Five weeks later, I called his office and asked why I hadn't heard anything. The receptionist there went to pull my chart, and came back to tell me that it was empty. She repeated that there was nothing in my chart. She said she'd send a note back to the doctor and have him call me. Several more weeks later, still no word. I called the doctor who had referred me to Dr. K. and asked if he'd gotten a report. He hadn't. He called Dr. K. and was told that somehow there were two accounts created for my name, so nobody knew how to contact me or for whom the results applied. (Well,… they knew how to contact me to send two bills for the same amount of money, within two days after my appointment there.) I don't know if Dr. K. ever found my records. His very vague assessment,provided after all that time to my referring doctor, was that there was nothing to worry about at this point, and he should keep checking me every six months. To this day, I haven't received even the courtesy of a phone call from this guy.

I was blessed to find CEI, Dr. Khatana and Dr. Kuhlman. I am lucky enough to live just an hour away. There are people who travel from all parts of the world to be treated by Dr. Khatana.
