Dr. Anze Urh, MD

Just went through a procedure with him. Before the procedure he sat with me and explained and even drew a diagram.I love the fact he took the time out to answer all questions. I saw him before the procedure to check up on me and to give me a thumbs up. His words before the surgery were “ I got you” .! All his staff was wonderful too. In the office, and his assistant in the hospital. I would highly recommend him.

Im a bc survivor; recently diagnosed with metastatic. When they found 'something else' in my gyno region, I was exhausted & really sad. A bad experience w/a Dr only just prior to Dr Urh made the apprehension worse. The first time meeting him was such a different experience. THIS is the guy you want to be taking care of you at times like this in your life. From the moment he came into the office, until the end of my surgical procedure 2 weeks later; I never felt so confident that everything was going to be ok. He has something you cant put on a resume; its a directness, a sincere interest in his patients, not just their physical, but their emotional well-being also. All of the Northwell System has exceptional professionals, but Dr Urh has the edge when it comes to that reassurance quality. He truly was the calm before my storm. No matter what, I will always be so grateful to him & his staff.

I met Dr. Urh during a pre-operative visit which I was very afraid of. To give a little background, I am a Benedictine Nun thus all doctors scare me but especially a gynecologist. Dr. Urh spoke to me with such compassion and really understood how I felt as he listened intently when I was explaining how utterly petrified I was. The warmth radiating from him was exactly what I needed, especially coupled with his professionalism and great deal of knowledge when explaining my results to me. When I expressed again that I am so scared, he said to me "In God We Trust." That is all I needed to hear. He put me at such ease and built a great deal of trust and confidence in planning ahead with my surgery which ended up going wonderfully. After my surgery, Dr. Urh saw that some of my fellow Sisters were waiting in the lobby. He personally took the time to speak to them, easing their fears about how I was doing after the surgery. The compassion, empathy, and kindness he exuded throughout… the whole process is something that I will remember forever.

Dr. Uhr gave me a thorough examination and noted a urethral caruncle. I was told this before but Dr. Uhr explained that it could bleed. This was an answer to a problem I've had for 2 years with no explanation as to why I experienced a pink stained urethral discharge. I shall follow through with his recommendation. In my estimation Dr. Uhr is a wonderful doctor with a great manner.
