She was very thorough! She may have just four years under her belt but is very knowledgeable !!

I had high hopes when I met Dr. Erwin. I thought she would care about me as a patient. It turns out she only cares if you have MS. I went in with severe neurological deficits and problems but did not meet current diagnostic criteria and a new spinal tap would be skewed by use of IVIG for immune deficiency. I had lesions but I guess not impressive even though it is known now amount of lesions doesn't dictate disease severity. She had my try "benign" MS meds. I tried Copaxone and was feeling better things were going away. She had previously told me MS was the only disease that responded to this. That is when I was told I was highly probable for MS. Unfortunately allergic welts made me switch to Avonex and I've never been sicker. Low dose naltrexone was next but I couldn't take it and the pain meds and had she not come in the room that day immediately being done with me she would have known I would have given up the pain meds to try LDN. She came in basically saying she no longer felt I… had MS (why suddenly) and that she had nothing else to offer me. I was on too many medications (the same I had been on since being there) and it was just too multilayered of a problem. Coming from a woman who said it was a multilayered problem and would be challenging but she'd try to work something out for me. Didn't even tell me where to go next. Told me my test results would be phoned and once we finally got that horrible nurse to agree to give them she tells my mother I have a TUMOR on a salivary gland an incidental finding and my sed rate was really elevated but everything else was normal then TRANSFERS her to medical records while she's asking questions. Thank god for the nice people in medical records who helped me get my results to my primary doctor. Good riddance to that whole place and thank you Dr. Erwin for throwing me out like a piece of trash for not having your pet disease. I hope you read this. You sent me home a broken shell of a person.

I wish all doctors cared as much as she did! She made me feel comfortable and was so down to earth.

She was up on the latest on drugs and treatments for MS patients. She immediately got me on new type if pen intramuscular shot, told me to increase certain vitamins and make sure my children were on them also. I have been seeing neurologist for years and she was the first who cared!
