Dr. April Carpenter Richardson, MD

I say this respectfully, she never prescribed the right medicine for me. I asked for other medicine and explained my symptoms & she never changed the medicine I was on, that had bad side effects and didn't really help me.

I’ve had bipolar for several decades. I manage it well. I bring the best info I can to appts. I’ve only had 2 drs I’ve liked. The other retired. Dr Richardson is a great listener, pleasant, and very collaborative. Anyone who gets to work with her is fortunate. I also find her to be up on latest info, meds etc.

Very awful person all around

Dr. Carpenter is a very good psychiatrist. She is helpful to me, and to my family. I've been with her for almost a year, and I've seen a very good, but drastic change in my actions. I am only thirteen, but she explains things to me so that I can understand them. She can make me laugh, and she knows when to be really serious about my mental condition. I am really very grateful to have her as my psychiatrist. Overall, she is a great person, and an excellent doctor.
