Born in Nyack, NY, Dr. Chander lived in New Orleans for 10 years and eventually moved to Augusta, Georgia. She was awarded an academic scholarship to Oxford College of Emory and Emory University, graduating in 1999. She then attended St. George%u2019s University School of Medicine and Clinicals at Brooklyn Hospital Center, graduting in 2004. Dr. Chander completed her pediatric residency at Maria Fareri Children%u2019s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center in New York. Following her residency, she practiced pediatrics in Lumberton, NC for 2 years. Here she worked with inpatients, outpatients and managed premies in the NICU. For the past 2 years, Dr. Chander has worked in Lynchburg, VA at an inner city health center. Dr. Chander is board certified in pediatrics.
