Dr. Ariel Leifer, MD

I came in to meet my new PCP, Dr. Leifer. From the first second on I could tell she had no interest in me (new patient) whatsoever. I would state something and minutes later she would ask the same question. I was uncomfortable and confused. Since then, I sent messages to get referrals, without any replies from her or her office. I had a mammograms with finding, and in order to follow up with MRI I need her referral. No answer, no reaction. Also, on my first visit, the clinic was locked up by the time my visit was finished and I had to find my way out through back corridors. Scary. Find a different provider!

I am a returning Patient, why because Dr. Leifer showed great care and patience during my previous visits with her. Last year my plan forced me to see another doctor, however I could not wait to have her as my primary doctor again. Yeah! She is definitely spot on when communicating thru the patient portal system addressing any my medical concerns. Can't wait till my appointment!

When visiting Dr Leifer, I felt I was treated with a lack of respect as the doctor gave me the impression I was being annoying during my 2 visits with her. I was at the clinic to be medically cleared for a federal job, and not only did Dr Leifer fail to understand the time sensitivity of the visit and what needed to be done, but failed to assist me in getting what I needed done in an efficient and professional manner. Additionally, the UI health lab lost some of my lab samples and they, along with Dr Leifer, seemed unapologetic about the fact. My experience at UI health has shown me a gross incompetence and unprofessionalism on behalf of not only the doctor, but the clinic itself.
