Dr. Arlen Drew Stone, MD

I’ve came to him for plenty of serious issues and all he had was sarcastic answers and gave no help. There was blood in my urine and I had a high fever so I came to the walk in center and he sent me home and told me to take Advil. I came in for severe abdominal cramping once and he sent me home again with no help. I ended up passing a blood clot the size of my palm later that night (menstrual period). I recently came for a check up and he told me it wasn’t necessary. I addressed several issues from joint pain to insomnia and he didn’t help at all. I am currently looking for a new doctor. I do not recommend.

I will never go to GoCare again. For the following reasons: 1. Dr. Arlen Stone is the most ignorant Doctor I have dealt with not only as a professional nurse but now a private patient. Being in the healthcare field myself as a nurse and a legal nurse the comments that he made to my husband and myself were rude and unprofessional. He told my husband that bleeding eventually stops. Yea it does but if bleeding isn't stopped you die, I guess Dr. Stone wasn't listening when they gave the lecture about how important blood is to life. You could see the blood was pumping out of the artery at the same rate his heart was beating. Not good at all. 2. He told my husband, in front of me that I only took him to the clinic because his life insurance policy must not be paid up. 3. He told us to come back Sunday or Monday and he would take the 4 inch diameter bandage down to a smaller bandage. By the way my husband injured the pinky finger. You never know whether that person would actually do something… like this. Unfortunately my husband is one some one who would use duck tape. 4. I was not allowed to see the injury so I knew what need to be done at home as a nurse

I have been seeing Dr. Stone for many years now. When I applied for life insurance, I had sent a 1 page form for Dr. stone to fill out and complete regarding a past/prior condition. The office administration and Dr. Arlene Stone refused to fill out the 1 page form unless I schedule an appointment. I explained that is a complete waste of my time, the doctor's time and that I would have to take time of work b/c they are only open Mon- Friday 9-5pm. Most importantly I do not need to be seen and take away an appointment of someone else that is actually sick and could use the help. They still refused to complete the 1 page (5-7 questions) form. I told them it doesn't make sense and the office admin said "If you don't make an appointment, the form wont be completed, this is our rules"... That tells me that Dr. Stone and the Primary care office there is not thinking about the patients first instead, they are thinking ALL about the MONEY.. smh SO DISSAPOINTED.

Dr Stone knows what he's talking about. He's a very good Dr. I've been his patient for about 17yrs.

Dr. Stone is a very caring and helpful doctor I would recommend dr stone to all my friends he is very pleasant

This doctor use to be with Christiana Care and decided to break the contract and leave with the patients and make his own practice with another physician. I decided to stay with them but this doctor thought he was God's gift. Did nothing for his patiences. One time I came in for an appt. and the office manager said they will bill me later for a payment, which was $ 10.00 since the office was busy in New Castle, De next to a gym That nice Dr. Stone's wife at 11:30 PM calls me harassing me over $10.00 telling me I was avoiding the bill. Guess she was so uneducated & clueless. That is why family should not work together & it was unprofessional of her calling me at that hour too. I left that office after she did that he wasn't worth it as a physician and she was money hunger over a dollar. They aren't worth it.

I saw Dr Stone when he was in New Castle. He had the meanest check in girl at that time. I stopped seeing him. I recently saw him again at a new location in Newark. The check in girl was gone, which made me happy, but the doctors attitude made this my only appointment with him. His manner was of high importance in his mind and his mind only.

I have only been a patient of Dr. Stone's for 4 months but he is a wonderful and caring Dr. He spends time with me but gets to the problems quickly. I am so pleased with him and he has sent me to specialists to take care of some serious problems that I have. Furthermore he has a terrfric staff that tends to things imediately. In my opinion having a good staff(receptionist, nurse, assistant,etc) makes your appointment go smoothly. His Abby Family Pratice has x-rays, blood work etc so you don't have to go somewhere else for them. I have sent other family members to him and they are also pleased with him and his entire staff. I am so glad that I listened to my children and he is now my PCP.

I came in for a few medical issues and Dr. Stone told me he would only treat one issue. Although I was in pain and I needed medical attention he turned me away and said go see your primary doctor. He never even gave me a physical exam or told me the results of my vitals. When I tried to explain how I felt physically, he told me "how about you be quiet because I am the doctor".
