Great Doctor. Been my family doctor since my kids were babies.

I've had the privilege of calling Dr. de Fex my doctor for the past 10 years. One day I was feeling horrible and went to Methodist where I was told I was just going through a bad menstrual cycle. It didn't feel right so the following day I went to see De Fex. He accepted me last minute and was seen immediately. He ran a test on me and not five minutes later went into the room and told me I had to be admitted to the ER ASAP. He advised me to go immediately because if not I would most likely have a stroke since I had lost 2/3 of my blood. Turns out he was correct. I was immediately seen at the ER where I was diagnosed and was given emergency blood transfusions and was taken into an emergency surgery. Methodist apologized for their mistake in allowing me to return home. I would've never realized how serious everything was if it wasn't for my amazing Doctor. I truly believe that if it wasn't for him contacting Methodist or almost kicking me out of his office, that I wouldn't be here. After… my visit with him, I was kept in the hospital for almost a month, having gone through several transfusions, emergency surgery, and eventually a stroke. Dr. De Fex kept I'm contact with me almost immediately and followed up with me after my visit. It's been 4 years since that day, I wouldn't change him for anyone else. Truly an amazing human being.!

My complaint is from the scheduling, waiting time and the rude and unprofessional office manager Rebecca. I scheduled my appointment on a Friday for the following Monday at 11:45am. An hour and a half later I ask them when would I be seen, after seeing they admitted a walk in before me. The clerk at the front desk tells me I'm next, which is pretty obvious because there is NO ONE ELSE in the waiting room with me. A few minutes later, two other patients walk in, sign in and within minutes are admitted as well. I return to the clerk and ask for the manager. Rebecca, the office manager, could offer no explanation, except a personal story about how she went to a doctor to get blood work done and it took them two hours. I redirected her to the problem at hand and asked for an explanation as to why I was waiting for and hour and a half and patients with appointments after me and walk-ins were being seen before me. She then checked the schedule and informed me I was a walk-in, I told her to… check again because I made and appointment. Her argument was that I made a same day appointment for 12:15pm. I informed her that she was wrong, I called on Friday for the earliest available appointment which they gave me at 11:45am. She then excused herself by saying the Dr. chooses who gets seen depending on severity, if he heard someone with a bad cough he would probably see them sooner/next. (So now I have to cough? No one was coughing.) To which I asked what was the point of making an appointment?!?! If the people who make an appointment after me are still going to be seen before me??! She continued to run in circles with her personal story of a two hour wait, how the Dr. chooses who goes next... None of which ever answered the question as to why I couldn't be seen, why others were skipping ahead of me or at least told that it would take this long. She couldn't answer and when I asked to speak to the Dr. himself, she denied my request (I'm sure she didn't want to get in trouble), and slammed the window shut! Extremely rude, unprofessional and incompetent office manager running this clinic. If this is how Dr. De Fex's business is truly run, I do not care to return to such an unorganized establishment who randomly picks who gets seen and in what order, employs such a disrespectful manager, obviously has no respect for other people's time, but sure will charge you if you miss your appointment.

I have been seeing this doctor since I was a younger child and let me tell you he is an amazing doctor he knows whats hes doing and cares so much :D I recommend him to everyone, only thing is the wait! but its totally worth it:D

IN MY OPINION THE CLINIC IS IN GOOD CONDITIONS ...ITS VERY EASY TO GET AN APPONTMENT FOR MY DAUGHTER N THE STAFF IS AS WELL POLITE .... I THINK HE IS A VERY GOOD DOCTOR AND VERY PROFESSIONAL

I will never visit this clinic again, I was waiting in the waiting room for two hours. They took me to the room and I waited 30 minutes more so I had no choice then to walk out. Also the odor in the clinic is awful it smells like urin. The paint on the walls is falling you can literally see the bricks. Also whe they called me in the room there was used bandages on the counter and it seemed like if they didnt clean the room after the last patient went in there.. Awful experience I do not recommend this clinic to nobody.The doctor is nice but his employees are horrible, and lazy people.
