Dr. De La Cabada was called to perform an Emergency Apendectomy on me and it took him 5 hours to show up.When he finally arrived after midnight he looked like he was very mad to have been interrupted from where ever he was coming from.His bed side manner was the poorest I've ever seen.The next morning he came into my room while I was sound asleep and started banging on my bed shouting,"wake up there is medicine and a bed at home time to go". I was sooo angry that I shouted back at him saying,"I have terrible chest pain thanks for asking how I'm doing just give me my discharge papers"! He then was shocked that someone actually spoke up for themself and convinced me to stay awhile for a Cat Scan to see why I had chest pain.It turned out that I had a blood clot in my lung from the surgery.He said himself a day later that I would have died if I would have been one of those timid patients that would have kept their mouth shut and went home.I wonder how many patients have died or have had… serious complications just because he could'nt walk in a room after surgery and say,"How are you feeling"? After all isn't that the right thing to do??? He is extremely young and arrogant.He definitly has some growing up to do before he continue's to cut people open in my opinion!
