Dr. Armodios Miltia Hatzidakis, MD

I was in extreme shoulder pain. My rotator cuff was completely torn. I had several injections that provided relief over the past year. Dr. Hatzidakis told me I would know when I was ready for a replacement. He was never pushing. I opted for surgery on February 28, 2023 and I am so pleased with the outcome. Wearing the sling for six weeks was certainly a "pain", but I have been pain free for weeks and gaining range of motion each day.

I was referred to Dr. Hatzidakis by my physical therapist. I have called the office numerous times to set an appointment. Every time, I am transferred to the voice mail of his “Scheduler”. I have left voice mail and also submitted new patient request form online (which included submitting my insurance info). It’s been 32 weeks and absolutely no return call or email. He may be a good doctor, but not worth suffering from an injury wondering if and when his staff can extend you the courtesy of a return call or email.

I came to Dr. Hatzidakis with a previous, botched semi-arthroplasty. Dr. Hatz did a reverse shoulder replacement after removing all of the old hardware. It has been 6 months post surgery and I have no more pain and a normal range of motion. If it were not for Dr. Hatz my shoulder would have been severely compromised. I was treated with respect and compassion by Dr. Hatzidakis, and he never talked down to me or acted as if my concerns were unimportant. His PAs and staff were very well trained and friendly. Dr. Hatz is the go-to surgeon for shoulder replacements.

After being jerked around for months with a series of pre-surgical requirements, never being able to see the doctor (only the PA), I still cannot get an appointment for a needed surgery. I have started to look out-of-state, hopefully to find a facility where I am a valued patient, not an after thought.

I could not be more pleased with the outcome of the Surgery done on my right shoulder by Dr. Hatzidakis. He and his PA Tyler Holm answered all my questions both prior to and following surgery. I am confident their post op direction has helped me achieve a normal range of motion in my shoulder with no pain, 6 months post op. If you have a shoulder problem, I highly recommend seeing Dr. Hatzidakis for an evaluation.

Dr. Hatz performed a total shoulder replacement in Sept 2020. My results surpassed my expectations. My shoulder is back to the condition it was in 20 years ago. My range of motion, strength, and stability are exceptionally better. His exceptional expertise and friendliness provided the confidence I needed to undergo this surgery. I would recommend Dr. Hatz for any shoulder surgery. I couldn't be more satisfied with my outcome. He's the best there is in my book.

I'm a 61 year old professional athlete who teaches all over the world. Two years ago shoulder arthritis was seriously impacting my career and since I am not a candidate for a typical replacement I went to see Dr Fred Matsen at Univ of Washington to investigate his Ream & Run procedure. Unfortunately insurance issues would not allow me out of state treatment by Dr Matsen. Another friend, an orthopaedic doctor in Texas, then turned me on to Dr Hatzidakis and his biological resurfacing procedure. All my meetings with him prior to surgery were excellent and all my questions answered, which gave me complete confidence in him and the procedure. Everything went perfectly and 6 months out its like I have the shoulder I had in my 30's. I could not be more pleased. I have full range of motion and zero pain. My strength and muscle tone has returned faster than I ever imagined but I did stick to the rehab protocol he demanded exactly as instructed. I will be having the left shoulder done by… Hatzidakis in the next year, and frankly I wouldn't trust anyone else with my shoulder now given the excellent care and results I have experienced. "Top Shelf" in every way.

Why don’t the doctors care that a patient in need can’t get a call or email returned to schedule????

Dr. Hatzidakas has trt’ed my husband as well as my mother. Both had full shoulder replacements. Both recovered to a full functioning capacity and pain free. His expertise & client patience was so strong it enabled us to be confident and our confidence was not misplaced. My mother has developed Alzheimer’s in the 10 yrs since surgery & my entire family is still thankful to this Dr & his outstanding work because as her dementia has advanced we are able to be certain she is not in pain from shoulder trbl that plagued her for years. As for my husband , he did at least 30 push-ups at his 1 yr follow up and continues to include them in his exercise routine st age 67+

I haven’t seen a Dr. from this group because it’s impossible to get through to the scheduler. After 5 phone calls I was finally able to reach someone who the told me they couldn’t put me on the schedule without the insurance claims mailing address, despite the fact that the referral sent from my primary care physician had that information on it. Had to physically go to my primary physicians office and ask them to resend the referral with the insurance information on it and then was told by the scheduler that that information is sent to another department. After she had all the information she then tells me that the Dr. will be out of town for three weeks. If it’s this hard to schedule an appointment, I’m going elsewhere. Not worth the brain damage!
