Dr. Arnold Leon Weg, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Weg for many years now.He is very compassionate and he makes you feel like he can help you,no matter what the situation is.He treats you in a very holistic way. He looks at you like a whole person,not just any one component.He spends as much time with you as needed,no matter how busy he is.It is true,sometimes,there is a wait.However,he is well worth the wait.I would never think about going to another doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wegs for abouI 30 years, maybe longer. I am reading many reviews about the office staff whom I find to to competent and caring. Sometimes I see that they get a little frustrated - when dealing with unreasonable or "imposible" patients. They are extremely busy and I see that sometimes, people do not respect that. Yes sometimes the wait gets a little long but you are waiting for the best doctor in the five boroughs. I never worry or stress about the wait because I know I will never find a more compassionate or skilled diagnostician, anywhere. DR. Weg is a find, I would never condider seeing another doctor. You might have to wait sometimes but when you do see Dr. Weg, it will not be a rushed or prefabricated visit!

His staff couldn't care less that they put you on hold each and everyone you call for at least 10 minutes. They are curt and rude. They send your prescriptions to the wrong drug stores. He has been told by many patients that this is the situation but does NOTHINg to correct this. Never seen anything like this! Awful awful staff!!!

Doctor is very good. However the staff / front desk are mean and very condescending.

I have never been to a doctor who is as compassionate as doctor Weg. He puts you totally at ease. He is a great diagnostician, He listens to you intently with respect,He just doesn't treat you like a number. I hope that he will always be there. I have read reviews about the staff and wait time.I say that Doctor Weg is worth the wait.I would rather wait then to see another doctor.It is frankly your choice.If you want the best,you wait. I have no problem at all with the staff.Simple,if you treat them with respect,then you get respect. Amen.It is not their fault if you have to wait.They are very hard working and nice.

Yes, I have to wait, so I bring a book, but he is a great doctor and I have always been happy with him. No one has treated me better.

I try to get the first appointment, have to make it a year in advance for annual exam, but still end up waiting an hour! The staff actually schedules first appts for 1/2 hour before Dr. even comes in! This is the ONLY doctor I have this issue with. The staff is also very rude and unaccommodating..I call them his "junkyard dogs" guarding the good Dr. Dr. Weg himself is an excellent and caring doctor, always very congenial and patient and considerate...but he needs to realize that his staff is a reflection on him and his practice.

Great doctor. Person on front desk ,at Forest Hills office, rude, impolite, dismissive. Refuses access to Doctor, or to convey questions.

I have been a patient of Dr. Weg for many years. While I consider him to be experienced and knowledgeable in his field of expertise, I do not understand why he continues to keep his receptionist who is, by far, the rudest person I have ever encountered in any office setting. She barely looks up at you, is curt and, on the phone, is dismissive. I have heard her talk about patients after she hangs up on them a few times when I have been there. You get the impression that nothing will make her happy except to not be there. The other staff are more professional. When you are ill or not feeling well, you don't need someone to exhibit a negative attitude when you call or enter the office. After a recent visit, I am seriously considering a search for another doctor. Dr. Weg needs to understand that his staff is a reflection of him. And that reflection is not looking good.

My wife and I have been patients with Dr. Weg for more than 20 years. He is very caring, knows his profession very well and follows up almost 100 percent. We like him very much. His office staff is very polite and efficient. It worth a long wait.
