Dr. Arpita P Patel Mehta, MD

I had seen Dr. Patel-Mehta for approximately 3+ years. I thought she was a great physician at first, but as soon as I began experiencing seemingly random and odd symptoms more frequently, she was of next to no help at all because all of my labwork came back within normal ranges. So she treated me like a drug seeker and gave me a psych referral instead of trying to help me find out what was wrong with me. She will smile to your face and ask how you are and act like she cares, but then turn around and talk about you to her staff when she thinks you can't hear her in the next room. I have had physician's assistants and nurse practitioners who were more thorough and compassionate than her. I feel like she went to med school to please her family and impress herself, not to actually help people. She is the kind of doctor that makes people doubt their symptoms and makes them feel like their condition is all in their head just because there isn't an obvious answer. It's no wonder… why people are resorting to quackery and pseudo science! I am happy to report that I was able to find a specialist MD who was finally able to provide me with the answers I was looking for. I'm just really sad that it took me 5+ years of suffering and questioning my sanity before someone actually took my symptoms seriously. I'm sure Dr. Patel-Mehta is adequate if you are mostly healthy or have a commonly diagnosed health problem, but I would look elsewhere if you need help beyond the basics.

I'm 52 years old and have moved a lot in my life and seen many doctors as a result. Dr Patel is, by far, the best physician I've ever seen. She really listens to you and doesn't rush you. She is an intelligent and compassionate person.

Dr Patel is a very special person and is very caring. Very good doctor I am very happy with service and great staff.

Dr. Patel has always been attentive and caring through all our families illnesses! She is the doctor you want!
