Dr. Arta Farshidi, MD

My experience with Dr. Arta Farshidi has been a frustrating and concerning one. After an initial appointment for a skin examination and biopsy, I faced a lack of communication regarding my results and unanswered questions. I have reported Dr. Farshidi to the Medical Board of California for not providing my medical records (after multiple requests and months gone by), after leaving me in the dark about a potentially pre-cancerous mole on my leg. I strongly recommend considering an alternative healthcare provider/dermatologist. Additionally, the billing issues mentioned in other reviews, where they charged $300 instead of the appropriate copay, are indeed a problem. My insurance company is still battling with the office to get me my money back.

Had my 3rd Moh's surgery in 11/22. Surgery went very well - no issues. Exceptionally well trained & knowledgeable in Dermatology. Excellent staff including, Janet, medical assistant, friendly & efficient office staff. Appointments are easy to make/change. Highly recommend!

Easy to work with, exceptionally skilled and knowledgeable, friendly as all get-out, a great sense of humor but most importantly an intense, sincere caring for her patients' well-being. Never rushed, prudently conservative, but willing and able to do whatever is necessary to address your dermatological issues, whether cosmetic or medical. As far as this doctor goes, I would strongly recommend filing any negative reviews in the Misfits & Malcontents file. I guess even Dr. Farshidi can't always make everyone happy, but she comes darn close!

Her questionable judgment and practices could endanger your life. I was referred to her for examination and possible removal of a pre-cancerous growth on my back. Dr Farshidi told me the growth didn't look good and should be removed. I expected to scheduled for a surgery date, but Dr. Farshidi said, no, she could remove it right then and there. I expressed some concern about wound care because my spouse was out of town on business and the area was in the middle of my back between the shoulder blades. I'm a fairly hairy guy and the medical assistant indicated they had no razor with which to shave the area prior to surgery. Dr. Farshid, unfazed, proceeded to remove a growth the size of a quarter without shaving the area. She then stitched it up leaving a 4" long wound, put a dressing on it and instructed me to change the dressing daily after the first 24 hours of keeping it dry. My adult son helped me for until my wife returned from her trip and began caring for the wound. She… immediately noticed that it was showing signs of infection. A subsequent visit to my internist revealed a serious infection requiring heavy antibiotics. The internist was appalled (it's never good when the examining physician gasps while examining the patient) that the surgical area had not been properly prepared by shaving, and there was evidence of hair in the wound, which by this time was opening and oozing. Needless to say I am now seeing another dermatologist to repair the ghastly work Farshidi did. The psychological damage cannot be overstated. Without a doubt the most incompetent and uncaring physician our family has encountered in Orange County.

I have been coming to Dr. Farshidi for the last 2 years for regular skin checks and she never ceases to amaze me. She is always so energetic and conversational. I never feel like I am coming to a Dr's office, rather I feel like I am catching up with an old friend. She is always so precise with my care and when she is concerned of a spot on my skin, she is so efficient in treating it immediately. She is exceptional!! I highly recommend!

After being recommended by our pediatricians office, my husband and I took our 2 year old daughter to Arta yesterday for a rash. She was very patient and reassuring, great personality for dealing with young children; we see why she came recommended by the pediatricians office. A very pleasant experience!
