He then …became Chief Resident in Neurosurgery, Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, NJ, followed by a position as Chief Resident in Neurosurgery, New Jersey Medical School, University Hospital, Newark, NJ. He holds medical licenses in California, NJ, and NY. Most recently he completed a Complex Spine Surgery Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio.He authored a chapter on “Spinal Cord Injury and Paralysis” in Essentials of Orthopedic Surgery: Spine. Dr. Vaynman has published papers in multiple peer-reviewed journals on topics of brain injury and treatment of acute hydrocephalus.Dr. Vaynman is currently Ceo-Chief of Spine Surgery at Mercy Medical Center. In addition, as a Fellow Member of both the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Dr. Vaynman has presented at CNS and AANS annual meetings. He also performed Chief of Service Grand Rounds at UMDNJ-Newark, New York Neurosurgical Society and at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Spine Health, Cleveland, Ohio on multiple topics. Dr. Vaynman is fluent in Russian.
