Dr. Yongjung Kim

Dr Kim operated on me 3 times for Scoliosis and Stenosis. The first 7 years ago had a problem. I developed a Staff Infection so back into the OR. Then 6 years later something happened with a screw, so back into the OR again. Since that last surgery my left leg feels numb, and I’m having nerve pain down that leg. Plus, I’m also having a pain in my back that feels like a knife cutting into me. Every time I would complain to Dr Kim about a pain in my back, he would take an X-ray and tells me everything looks good. He never went to really investigate where the pain was coming from, and offer to help. At this point he just dismissed me. I now found another Spine Surgeon @ Columbia Doctors who is looking into my problem, and sending me for another test to find out where my pain is coming from. What a difference in doctors. I’ve since learned that Dr Yong Jung Kim has left Columbia Doctors, and the Country. Believe me, that’s a very good thing!

He diagnosed me with muscle problem and this is after x-ray and examination!. after a week with excruciating pain, I called and insisted he will send me for MRI. the results shows bulging,herniation and compression. how can a doctor miss it??? so, never ever go to this one

He rushes in and out, doesn't even listen to your list of complaints and just dismisses them and runs out of the office. e wanted an MRI based on an xray and when the insurance company wanted 3 months of PT or chiro first they never even contacted me to tell me. AN award for compassion? Seriously? Coldest, most useless doctor I have ever met!

My mom just went to see him for spinal stenosis. He was rude and barely answered her questions. When she asked if he would be able to call her son, a physician as well, to discuss her case, he told her he doesn’t do that. He is too busy for things like that. My parents have both seen world renowned Drs. and not one has ever refused this request. Every single one asked for my brothers cell and all have communicated with him many times. There has been times when they even called him without my parents asking just so they could keep him informed and up to date. This Dr. has no bedside manner and is very difficult to understand. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!!

Dr youngjung kim is the worst dr and his nurse Connie is even worse than him.They rush in n out and don't explain anything to u he wants to do surgery and than not treat his patients with respect.I highly do not recommend dr kim.you will regret it find a better dr there are alot out there.I have to much to say about this waste of a dr and his nurse who is so rude.who went and charged Medicare 30,000 dollars for a small surgery on my neck.which know I have a fluid buildup on where he cut me..what a ripoff..

It took me 7 years to find a doctor who can diagnosis my condition and treat it. I finally feel like I have found someone who understands what my body is going through. Thank you for your hard work.
