Dr. Arthur Blasberg, MD

I have three children all boys with my oldest son having a mitochondrial disorder and my middle son having ADHD. Dr Blasberg was instrumental in getting a very difficult diagnosis confirmed, has always worked well with my son’s entire team of specialists, and most of all O find him to be caring and competent. I am truly grateful to have had my children cared for by this incredible physician for the last 20 years.

I took my daughter in to the clinic, she was sick. He had told me she had a cold ( keep in mind they didn't take her temp either) I asked for a Strep test and flu test to be done. He said no, she then went and got her vision test done because she failed the schools, after going back to the room I requested again to have the test done because other kids in her class have the flu, he got very annoyed and angry storming around comes back in and scares the crap out of my daughter by being forceful and yelling at her I had to tell him to back off and asked him to be more considerate and easy she is only a child!!!!! Let alone she was already scared from him pulling up her shirt without even telling her what he was doing to listen to her chest and heart!!! She is petrfied of this DR I have never seen her cry or be scared like that before! I will NEVER EVER see or recommend him to anyone! Oh, the results for Flu came back positive!!!

Horrible bedside manner, does not explain anything he is doing, just expects you to smile and nod and let him do whatever. His office lies about getting paperwork in order and sends you running all over creation for follow ups without forwarding orders or documentation. Will never be back to him or his colleagues.

We saw Dr. Blasberg for a sick visit for our 2 year old daughter (he is not our primary pediatrician) and had never met him before. He has TERRIBLE bedside manner and very little patience for small children. He didn't smile at her, talk to her or try to make her feel more comfortable. When she started crying during the exam (because she was not feeling well and was nervous since she did not know him), instead of allowing us to try to calm her down he instructed us to hold her tighter and literally cornered against the wall just her to look in her her ears and listen to her heart. When he used the tongue depressor to look in her mouth he shoved it in so far that he gagged her several times. At this point I said something to him about his actions. He became clearly annoyed with me and gave us very vague information about her infection and what he was prescribing her. I had to ask so many questions to get basic info from him - could she go to school? What should we know? what was the… treatment? Will we have refills on the script? All things that he should have shared with us right off the bat. It was a horrible experience and we will NEVER see him again. He should reconsider his decision to work with small children.(We LOVE our primary pedi who is in the building, she was just unable to see us that day. We also love the nurses and other staff, just not Dr. Blasberg).

I have been bringing my children to see Dr Blasberg for approximately 15 years. He has always been courteous, caring, and helpful. Diagnoses have been accurate and appropriately treated. He went over and above when my middle son had an issue with his blood pressure. Referrals were always done when needed and done quickly. He was incredibly helpful and supportive when my youngest son was diagnosed with Asperger's-following up with multiple phone calls to me and for me.
