Dr. Arthur Grant Kingsbury, MD

I am a retired doctorate level medical professional and I am my medical manager dealing with several chronic illnesses and conditions. RELUCTANTLY, I NEED TO WARN THE PUBLIC ABOUT THIS DOCTOR. Read his negative reviews and especially his history. He was disciplined by the medical board and put on 5 years probation a very heavy penalty. At his penalty hearing. He said that his prior mistake had made him a better doctor. I STRONGLY DISAGREE. I saw him for one month and he made very serious malpractice level mistakes in my care. He prescribed and pushed antibiotics for a virus.. That's why we have MRSA... because of the inappropriate over prescription of antibiotics. He recommended even pushed for me to increase a thyroid medication. When it turns out I didn't need it in the first place. He had refused to do the thyroid test that would have showed him. I didn't need it. He completely mismanaged my care for daily disabling long covid headaches. And don't get me started about his office… manager. She is abrupt, arrogant and rude, less than competent, and like the incompetent doctor she works for. She thinks she knows better for the patient than the patient knows. YOU ARE NOW WARNED, BEWARE!

Dr. Kingsbury was very helpful when I had several stressful problems, all happening at once. A good clinician with overall excellent bedside manner. Thanks Dr. K!

I'm a patient of Dr. Kingsbury and really feel he is a great doctor. He has excellent bedside manner and an analytical approach to medicine that I find comforting considering my own medical expertise *(I'm a biomedical engineer)I highly recommend this doctor to anyone in the San Diego area looking for a solid doctor with a good practice and approach to medicine. The only drawback, if there is one, is that the people who answer the phone at this hospital are a little crabby. Other than that no complaints.

Dr. Kingsbury is highly dedicated to patient care. He is personable and easy to discuss any of my health concerns with. In spite of being busy with a very large number of patients, I never feel like I am rushed. I also like the fact that he personally follows up with a phone call with lab results etc.
