nasty attitude, dismissive and condescending

I'm only leaving because I had to change my health provider. He listens and lets you participate in your health care (I'm the only one who knows how much I will really excercise and stay away from bad foods ...).

Dr. Sgalia is a great doctor. His 'bedside manner' may not be all roses and sunshine, but he is not rude either. I feel his demeaner is serious and professional and he takes patients care very seriously. He may not have a 'bubbly' personality, but that isn't high on my list of qualifications for a doctor. His staff is very corteus and professional. The staff makes me feel part of the family. I like Dr. Sgalia and his staff so much, I was very sad to leave when he didn't accept my new insurance. Two years later, I made it a point to return to his care when I, once again, have different insurance. There may be nothing entertaining about seeing Doctor Sgalia, but I know I'm getting excellent care and my health is what's most important to him.

When I first moved to the area, I chose Dr. Sgalia out of a book at random, what a lucky choice I made!He listened to me, and unlike previous doctors, ordered an ultrasound to get a complete look, rather than dismiss my concerns. The ultrasound lead eventually to the point that I had Stage One Kidney Cancer! Luckily, all is well now, thanks to Dr. Sgalia!

Once I arrived tothe front desk I felt like I was treated as a Lepor. The people were incredibly unprofessional. I over heard them negatively talking about patients and their conditions. They never let you know what is going on in regards to your current situation. Also they will try to scam you to pay for medical procedures that are not needed. I have witnessed them mistreated and took advantage of an elderly lady who was hard of hearing
