Not my first appointment with Dr Sharkey. My first experience with problem, carpal tunnel syndrome. My friend, Jerry Osteen, recommended Dr, Sharkey when he heard my symptoms. No stress or concerns regarding my next appointment. Feel certain surgery will be scheduled.

Dr. Sharkey performed surgery on both of my hands, elbows and left wrist. He did an amazing job. No post op pain or problems at all. I VERY HIGHLY recommend Dr. Sharkey to anyone!

Went in with a healthy right index finger that had a boutonniere deformity, caused by a recent laceration. 6 surgeries later, the finger was amputated and still infected. Dr. Sharkey & his "team" of attorneys deny any wrong doing to this day. I have had more invasive and technically challenging surgeries in the past and never a hint of an infection. Dr. Sharkey couldn't even do a basic repair on a finger without an infection. Several months of intensive antibiotic infusions, 40 hyperbaric chamber sessions and 2 hospitalizations were necessary to save my hand/life! I have heard similar stories from several of Dr. Sharkey's previous patients. Most of those I spoke with refused to return to him after their first office visit. Yet he is still in practice. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE NEEDING ANYTHING MEDICALLY RELATED!

I went to see Dr. a Harley for the 11st time today...I was very impressed with is thoroughness..I had surgery on my trigger finger by a different hand specialist and I am having a lot of post o.o trouble..Dr. a Harley have me hope that my finger will be ok again.After I have the MRI I will know more...He made me feel very confident of his treatment plan...I will post again if I have to have surgery...So far awesome...

Dr. Sharkey diagnosed my condition immediately after listening to my symptoms and thoroughly reviewing my x-rays. He proposed having basal joint arthroplasty on my right thumb. After "googling" what the surgery would entail, I was convinced I was going to experience excruciating pain post operatively. Dr. Sharkey and the anesthesiologist confirmed that liklihood. They both prepared me for the worst and explained that I would be on heavy duty pain medications for at least a month. Holy bejeebers, to my surprise, absolutely NO post op pain. Looking forward to having my left thumb surgery! The only sugguestion I have for you as a patient, be prepared with your questions ahead of time. Dr. Sharkey will spend as much time with you as you need, but he won't dilly-dally! He is thorough, but wastes no time!

Altho Dr. Sharkey appears to breeze in and out very quickly he is fully focused when he is there and is very very capable and caring

Dr sharkey did an excellent job on the two surgeries he has performed on me and unfortunately I will be seeing him soon about my thumb again due to football

I have had several surgeries with Dr. Sharkey. He is truly the best. I have been 100% satisfied with all my surgeries and my after care. Dr. Sharkey listens to me and doesn't base my treatment on a "one-size fits all" plan, but looks at my life style and creates a treatment plan based on that.
