Dr. Arthur Sterling Ticknor, MD

Dr. Ticknor did not address ANY of my medical needs and/or concerns. I have severe Anxiety and Panic Disorder, which I am currently on Disability for and wanted to get back on the medications that I had been taking months prior that worked best for me and kept my symptoms at bay. Therefore, I brought an updated prescription drug history, from my pharmacy to show that I had indeed been taking these medications.. He saw what they were, Ativan for my anxiety.. Soma for my Jaw pain and spasms due to breaking both sides as a teenager, Adderall for my ADHD and the rest being my Psychiatric medications, which were already being taken care of by a psychiatrist. The problem is that my psychiatrist wouldn't treat my anxiety nor my ADHD with those medications, due to a policy pertaining to controlled substances, but would treat my Bipolar 2 disorder so the Psych doctor recommend I go elsewhere to seek these medications (Listed above) Dr. Ticknor looked at my history saw that I had a few suicide… attempts in the past, some being with Benzodiazepines (NOT abusing) And said, "Well, you can probably see where I am going here.. I have dealt with many other patient in your situation and simply do not feel comfortable prescribing Valium and Adderall to someone this early in recovery. 7 months clean, and Valium and Adderall were not my Drug(s) of choice! Never have I abused them, ever. So, I asked if he would at least treat my jaw spasms and pain with the Soma, which I had been on for a couple of years and he said "Soma just potentiates the effects of opiates" I'm in recovery and have been opiate free for 7 months! He pretty much branded, lables and outright said, without "Actually" doing so, said I'm still using and that I'm an addict "seeking" So, I then asked "Well, I do get nausea a lot, due to high blood sugars at times being that I'm a type 1 Diabetic and he said, "Oh, well we usually don't prescribe that (Zofran) So, all I walked out with was medication for my (GERD) Acid reflux, and that was it.. with 5 refills. My point? Dr. Ticknor is a disgusting, foul and highly judgemental disgrace of a human life. He's not easy to talk to, he's curt and downright uncouth. He picked the wrong field because he certainly didn't give two shts about me! He should retire and never have a DEA number, ever again. Why? He's doesn't prescribe any f'n thing in the first place. He sucks crusty, smelly booty chunks and needs to go screw himself with a 12 inch BLACK dyk, no lube and wrapped in sandpaper. Go to H3LL, "Arthur" ugly name.. Bet you were bullied and got yo' tail beat in school! Take care! -_-

This is the best medical doctor out there the staff is friendly and nice and they take of of you in the time of need no long wait

Dr. Ticknor & his staff are amazing!! I am scheduled to see him in a few days (first official appt) & he helped me out in a HUGE way before even meeting me. I am so grateful to him and his staff!
