Dr. Arturo Rafael Logrono, MD

My husband and me were looking for a new primary doctor, as ours has moved to another state. After a long search, we’ve selected Dr. Logrono and scheduled to have our appointments together, so we could evaluate him. It turned out to be a terrible experience! For starter, we’ve waited for one hour to be called into the consultation room. We’ve just sat there while the assistant was spending our appointment time to slowly type (with one finger) our information into their system. She then went to take my blood pressure with an old manual machine that wasn’t working properly. She tried 3 times, and then pretended she got the pressure right, and just entered some number on my chart. When I asked her how was it, she gave me a normal measurement, but I know I don’t have a normal blood pressure for a long time. She finally decided to go get another machine to take my husband’s pressure and I’ve asked her to repeat mine as well. For our surprise, after spending almost 3 hours over there to… see Dr. Logrono, Dr. Barski came to see us. Very politely, he asked if we wouldn’t mind to have one of his students to do the initial screening and go over our medical history, and that he (Dr. Barski) would come back to do the actual consultation. We’ve refused and I asked to see Dr. Logrono, and for my surprise, I was informed that he NEVER sees the patient at the 1st visit, but only for the subsequent follow ups. How come? We were looking for a new primary doctor and needed to discuss our health condition and review our medication. They were saying this would all be done by a student and a doctor that we didn’t ask for and didn’t know. Also, how would Dr. Logrono be able to treat us from the second appointment on (2 months later, as they said) without even coming to know us? Dr. Barsky called the practice’s manager, and we’ve explained our concerns. The manager said that unfortunately we were not told about their process, but that is how they work. After we’ve insisted that it wouldn’t make sense for us not seeing Dr. Logrono, she went to talk to him, and told us that he would make an exception and would came to see us for a few minutes. She repeated many times that he was doing a big favor to come to see us in our appointment! And she said she had no idea how long we would have to wait - could be 15 to 45 minutes, as he had 2 patients ahead of us. At this point, our appointment was already 3 hours late! I’ve never seen this happen before, and he will never see us again! This doctor and his staff behave like they are above all patients, and as we are imploring for their attention. This is non-respectful, un-professional, and un-ethical! The doctor, in special, should remember that he is there because of the patients. And we are paying for his services, is not a favor at all!

Dr. Logrono has been my doctor for 15 years. The first time I called because I was sick and they didn't receive me because I didn't go last year for my annual check up. I wonrgo there anymore.

Dr. Logrono is the Dr. everyone need and want. The type of Dr. that dedicate time to listen to you and not rush you at all. In my opinion Rita & Dr. Logrono made the perfect team at a Dr. office. Now with the Farmacy and the Lab right there made everything so easy . -Minerva Strum

If you're gonna go make sure the receptionist knows everything and understands everything. She mixes up patients and is terrible!

I've been his patient for over 10 years. I'd go nowhere else. Compassionate, patient, understanding, and very knowledgeable. My whole family sees this doctor. The staff is excellent. Never a wait, even without an appointment.

If you need a good Doctor, that will listen to you and will act fast, this is the Doctor, don't look anywhere else.
