Dr. Arturo Calvo Taca, MD

Dr. Taca was the first to do genetic testing in me to see what medication would work best with my genes, he also was the first to diagnose me with ADD, something I had suffered with thought middle school, high school, and part of college! ALSO through his recommendation I did TMS and I can thankfully say after over 6 years of struggling with depression, I no longer struggle anymore! And I’m on the deans list in college! I’m finally living my life to the fullest because Dr. Taca took the extra steps to help me, not just throw medicine at me! I’m so thankful to him, and God for giving Dr. Taca the tools to help me!

Great understanding doctor is very patient and understanding and takes the time to listen to what is going on in your life. He doesn't try to force any unwanted treatments on you like other doctors I've had. Hes been my doctor for about 8 years or more, not sure how long its been. Highly recommend him.

I missed one appointment due to an family emergency and I told them why I couldn't make it. He terminated me as a patient because of that one missed appointment. He promised me in the past to work with me then does this. Don't waste your time here.

He promises to have you back, and terminates you as a patient for missing a appointment, even with a good reason. They obviously don't care. I'm very upset. Not to mention an hour wait pass your appointment time, Everytime.

He is a good doctor who has extremely poor time management as wait times are upwards of an hour or more past your appointment time. He is open to patient conversation, when in front of him; however on the phone, portal or email he is practically invisible. His office staff does not have a very kind demeanor for being a place that deals with people, many at their lowest points. I've seen him for 10 years and my only reason for staying is I don't want to spend an appointment discussing years of issues with another doctor. Weigh your options and choose wisely.

Unethical and profit focused.

If you are looking for an excellent doctor who will prescribe all kinds of meds for you this is the one. If you want a doctor who will electrical shock treatments to a patient without warning them of the side effect, this is the doctor. If you want someone who hand in hand with his wife prescribes treatments to enhance his own profits, this is the one. If you want a doctor who will ruin your life by keeping you medicated and becoming mentally addicted to his pills, this is the doctor. If you want a doctor to turn your loved one into a medicated and secated robot, this is the one.

Dr. Taca has saved my husband's life. He has worked with him for years through good times and bad. He has made appropriate med changes and has offered endless support. I am forever grateful for his help and his willingness to listen, learn, and assist. He has been an angel in our lives.

Dr.Taca in my opinion is the best Dr. in the state. I have been bouncing from one Doctor to another since I was a child. Sadly I was misdiagnosed&no other Psychiatrist caught on until I was referred to Dr.Taca. W/in the 1st session he realized that I was misdiagnosed&have been receiving the wrong meds for over 10yrs. I was constantly suicidal&I was dealing w/an EXTREME ADDICTION PROBLEM.I have almost 4 years clean&I no longer have thoughts of suicide.Dr.Taca has tapered me off almost everything. My life is amazing now,there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I would refer my own family members to him. What I like about him most is, he takes his time to explain what is going on in our brains, instead of telling me to take a pill&things will get better. He treats me as a HUMAN BEING&I DO NOT FEEL JUDGED,therefor I can tell him the truth.

I wish I would have read these other reviews, prior to visiting him.Like other reviewers, he was always late to appointments. He was very unprofessional, never felt like he took the time to get to know me.But in 10 min, he was able to make a decision to put me on a handful of meds. Like others he also made a claim that I was bipolar, which has been unconfirmed by other doctors. After researching I found a number of reviews much like mine, please search and research before reaching out to him.
