Dr. Aruna Ganju, MD

Although sometimes you wait a little while Dr. grande you is at the top of her field. Her expertise was the only one around that we felt comfortable with doing my surgery going out to surgery lack of my extremities. After a grueling 7 1/2 hour service I begin along to your recovery. I have full use of my arms and legs I will always be in pain but at least I can walk I can feed myself and do other things with my grandchildren thank you Dr. Gandhi

Well my comment is she give me about one minute of her time,before I explain my issue she said she be bac,instead her side kick came and said she has ordered some test.I wanted to know what’s wrong with sans why so much pain I have,but we’ll If DR. Don’t give U time!

I have a wonderful experiences with Dr. Ganju. I was referred to her by one of her patients when 2 different doctors wanted to operate on my back to relieve debilitating pain that had put me in a wheelchair. After a thorough exam & examining my MRI, Dr. Ganju identified the problem as a cyst in my vertebrate. She chose to do the least invasive procedure which was to insert a needle & burst the cyst. She scheduled the procedure on the spot and within 2 days I was walking normally. I have not had an issue with my back in 2 years. While others were recommending surgery and 6 months recovery & no guarantees, Dr. Ganju literally & magically solved the problem overnight. I can’t be more thankful for her competence, compassion and proficiency. Her confidence is also contagious. I have since recommended several of my friends with back problems to go see her for there is no one I trust more.

Dr. Ganju very professional, personable, intelligent, thorough and caring. She went out of her way to schedule everything that was needed to be done for my surgery, so we wouldn't have to make a return trip before surgery. After my office visit with her, I trust her fully for a successful surgery.

Dr. Ganju was a waste of my time and money. I do not believe she actually performed my surgery. I was still in pain afterwards. Every time I called her regarding my pain her nurse would tell me after time it would get better. I had numerous epidurals physical therapy as well. No relief what so ever. She ordered a MRI and the cyst she supposedly removed was still there and increased in size. I could not walk! I got a second opinion from a different hospital. I learned I had degenerative spinal stenosis with cysts!!! She is incompetent.

She is rude and dismissive. She does not demonstrate the willingness to educate her patients on their condition nor does she appear to be concerned about finding solutions. There has been no change in my pain and she shows no urgency.

This was by far my worst experience at a doctor ever. She was rude, condescending, and acted like she did not care. She didn't even give me a physical exam! I heard her speaking with her medical students before my appointment telling them what she does to deal with patients like me. How can she know anything before she even talks to the patient? The first thing she said when she walked in was, "You are not a surgical candidiate." She hadn't even asked me anything at all, how would she know anything about my condition? Also, she didn't even review the x-ray before seeing me, she had to leave the room after I told her I had an x-ray done. To summarize, if you are not a surgical candidate she will brush you off, not even give you any advice or medication to help deal with your issue, and you will leave there feeling like you wasted your time. I thought Northwestern was supposed to have the best of the best, but I was highly disappointed with my experience with Dr. Ganju!

I am still recovering from having back surgery! I was terrified in having the surgery and she made me feel relaxed and safe. He nurse in the office is also amazing. She was and has been there for my family and I on anything and everything we needed.
