Dr. Aruna Turaka, MD

I am a board certified radiation oncologist (ABR, American Board of Radiology/Radiation Oncology). After completing my fellowship, I joined Fox Chase's department of radiation oncology in 2009. In my practice, I specialize in treating patients with lung cancer, CNS malignances and leukemia/lymphomas. During my training, I took special interest in lung cancers. The interaction with other specialty faculty through tumor board meetings helps to care of tumors with the collaboration of the multidisciplinary team for better patient care and choose the standard practice methods for individual patient treatments. My philosophy has been to provide the best patient care to improve the quality of life along with the interests in research in lung cancer thus maintaining a dual commitment to patient care and clinical research. I recently joined the Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh in July 2014.
