Dr. Arunachalam Sevugan, MD

Dr. Seuvugan gets high scores in every category from me. First and foremost, he takes time to listen, teach and explain to his patients. He is a dedicated professional and why should I say that because he doesn't wait until the next day to call you back or dismiss your concerns or inquiries. Above all, he does greet,examine or give his prognosis in all of 10 min. He is PATIENT and takes time to thoroughly explain what you should know, as well as, listen to what you tell him. More importantly, he is not a prescription pusher. He works for the patient and not the pharmaceutical companies. I love the fact that upon our first meeting, he spent time asking me about my overall health care issues, doctors and medical concerns. He reminds me of the importance of maintaining annual visits and follow up appointments with my other health care provider. I am confident with his analysis and long term care recommendations. He is the BEST!

I was referred to see this internal medicine doctor recently when mine retired. I had to wait over 2 hrs before I was seen. He spent the majority of the 5 minutes he alotted me, zipping through my medical history in the computer and declaring that he didn't see patients with any history of depression or pain. (Don't the majority of people suffer the loss of a parent or loved one, and feel depressed sometime?) I was there to have my eyesight checked and needed a refill of medicine for a rash! His manner was beyond rude-- telling me he had no problem sending me back where I came from! I wasn't demanding or difficult, and was probably representative of the average patient. If he has so many issues with different people's needs, he should switch from family practice to podiatry! I was really shocked and angry.
