Dr. Arvand Elihu, MD

I recently had hernia surgery with Arvand Elihu, MD, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the first consultation, he was very straightforward, honest, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel comfortable and confident going into surgery. The procedure itself went incredibly well, and his work is truly impressive. The incision is so clean that it’s barely visible—I honestly didn’t expect such a great cosmetic result. You can tell he’s very skilled and pays attention to detail. Overall, I’m extremely grateful for the care I received. I had a very traumatic experience with Dr. Elihu which left me in tears and feeling violated. He failed as a doctor to educate me and prepare me for after visit care prior to doing a procedure in which I remained awake and could feel the pain due to the local anesthesia not working. Although I was crying and screaming, he remained unmoved and insensitive, continuing to cut into me without giving me more numbing meds, made numerous inappropriate comments throughout the precedes and did not ease my discomfort physically and emotionally. He was very unprofessional, lacked beside manners, and did not ease me but rather added anxiety and fear into me as he was cutting open my back. On a professional & basic human level, my physician and his/her staff were not sensitive to my surgical experience and post-surgical needs. I needed to speak with the department manager who had a different nurse explain how to tend to an open would located in the middle of my back.
