If you want unessesary surgery this is the man for you. Without any testing he told a family member they needed surgery immediately. After consolidating with several other doctors we were told our relative was in good shape and not in need of any surgery. Stay clear people. I smell a scammer. He is no Dr Fasanya!

He did better than what I was told were options at Weil-Cornell. Very modest and very good. Both operations went very well. I highly recommend him.

This doctor is absolutely awful in his bedside manner. While visiting my grandma I observed as he was doing rounds . He disparaged the patient's healthcare proxy by providing non truthful information to the staff on the floor. He stated he was being avoided by the patient's daughter.He further stated that she was resisting the placement of a feeding tube and that the ng tube in place must be removed and that "The Patient's daughter doesn't get to dictate her care." I later verified this with my mom and she stated it was untrue that she was avoiding him and that he personally never told her she must agree to have the feeding tube inserted for my grandma. But he effectively established to his staff that the patient's family is non compliant and possibly compromised her care . After all, why should the staff care more about my grandam than her own family supposedly does? In addition, one of the resident's at another patient's bedside asked a question about giving that patient a certain… treatment. He loudly and belligerently answered by knocking his colleague by name and stating, "That is Dr. R's nonsense." Later, when my grandmother's breathing was too rapid as she was expending too much effort breathing on her own while the oxygen output from the vent was reduced, the nurse approached him to ask what to do. He said to leave it as is and not increase the amount of oxygen from the machine so that her breathing would slow down to normal. My feeling is that he is cruel and could care less if she died, because she is old so who cares, right? Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond out control, this is the hospital my grandma was taken to. It would never have been first choice. That hospital is closing and morale is low and any good doctors have transferred out... perhaps he is still there because nobody else would hire him? Food for thought...

He had an indifferent manner & was cold & abrupt when my husband was in the ICU! He seemed like he did not want to be bothered!
