A kind and responsible physician. I arrived with a breathing problem caused by my landlord's failure to properly repair a damaged wall due leaks in my bedroom. Dr. Makia recommended a hepa filter and some ideas how I might seal the cracks myself in the short term. When my landlord refused to easily relocate me as they demolished two walls to repair related pipes but planned to keep me located in that apartment while they did the work, Dr. Makia confirmed to them that my difficulties would worsen due the fine dust. They were intent on saving money; he was intent on protecting my lungs to guarantee my good health. Thank you, Doctor. Thank you.

Dr, Makia, was the best Allergy/Asthma doctor I had in years. When he practiced, with Chartered Health Plan/Chartered Health Medical Center he worked with adults as well(family medicine.) Is he strictly working with children now?

Dr. Makia has been my kids asthma & allergist specialist since birth with bronchitis with all 4 of my kids and now my oldest is 20. He's very good, dynamite. I remember when my daughter was sick at school didn't feel like taking her school picture and the teacher wouldn't let her go to the school nurse with her chest hurting. Come to find out, Dr. Makia said she had pneumonia. After all these years it felt like my throat was goign to close at work during lunch, I went for an allergy testing that evening come to find out from eating salad and spaghetti I was now allergic to lettuce after all of these years. I asked Dr. Makia how could that be and he said your body changes over time. My daughter kept thinking she was having asthma problems and the medicines Dr. Makia gave wasn't working within that month period come to find out he said it was reflux. He's very good and I will never go anywhere else and would highly recommend him to any and everyone.
