I have been going to Dr. Imam over 9 years. He has always personally seen me as his patient. Given diagnostic test as necessary. However, the more this area has grown the harder it has gotten to get an appointment. Up to 3 months now.

Excellent professional

spent 10-15 minutes... no eye contact... he was bored. Ordered a brain MRI, results sat for 3 weeks with no follow up despite numerous requests from my other doctor. When calling the front office, Laura, her bright answer was... well no one asked for the results. Yeah.... we get brain MRI’s for fun. Won’t be coming back.

Front office experience is the worst. My mother was referred to Dr. Imam and an MRI was requested by her referring physician. The MRI results were sent from the imaging office on the SAME day. It's been 3 weeks and they just sat on the results. It didn't occur to anyone to either share with the patient OR the referring physician what the results were. The referring physician has kept in contact expressing his frustration. Called today, and the phone was answered by a very salty woman by the name of Laura. She refused to even provide the most basic of assistance. When my father was put on the phone, she really was not empathetic whatsoever. Basically said well no one asked for the results. Really? you think people run around getting brain MRI's for fun? it's OK for results to sit in the ether for 3 weeks? We will not be back and will be reporting this doctors office to the insurance company. In addition, the Dr. spent barely a few minutes with my mother, barely looked at her and sent… her on her way.

WIthin a 3 days I had a seizure with an extra sting, a couple of dizzy spells two days after the seizure. I collasped 3 days after the seizure in line at the airport. I was helped up, put in a wheel chair and staff wheelchaired me to the gate. I got on a plane from DFW to Chicago. I passed out when trying to deboard. I woke up in a hospital in Chicago and was there getting test for 3 days. I was so weak my son came from Southlake to bring me home. I called to make appt with Dr Imam and explained in detail what happened. I was told he could not see me for 3 weeks but PA was immediatly availble. I came home with flu so I told her I would wait to see Dr. to go over CD of test from hospital. I called 2 weeks later to ask for an appt. with PA to have meds checked before seeing Dr. Imam to go over test from hospital. I was told I could see only see PA on original appt day. I was also told Dr Imam only had 30 minutes for my appt and he would not have time to go over the test. however he… would be around if PA needed him. After waiting a month to go over 3 days of test with Dr. Imam I was told he did not have time to go over my test??????. To top it off I quit breathing in my sleep. I was told by company that supplies CPAP I would have to have sleep study done again to get equipment due to insurance policy. Talked to sleep clinic and they told me that was not true. I did not need thier help. So now I am sitting here without a CPAP an no solution. I have waited 3 weeks to see Dr. Imam only to find out he does not have time needed for the appointment. I can see his PA who will have time and he will be around if she needs him??? I am the one who needs him! Starting over with Lone Star. They have more doctors with very high ratings, Plus 3 offices in the area.

Staff is very courteous and very efficient. Dr Imam took the time to explain everything to me in detail after the nurse practitioner did the ground work for my MS. I highly recommend them!!

Best neurologist in dfw metro. I have seen him for about 4 years for migraines, seizures, sleep apnea, and multiple sclerosis. I drive 40 miles because he is the best and he cares and wants patients to feel better.

Yes, I would choose this Neurologist again. Four years of being under his care and being under the care of his professional and courteous staff brings me peace of mind as I learn to live with challenges of life with Multiple Sclerosis and Mirgraines and OSA, Obstructive Sleep Apnea . I am thankful my primary care physician referred me to Dr A. Imam four years ago..... LOH

Dr. Imam was EXCELLENT with my father who had Parkinson's disease and sleep apnea. Dad's Parkinson's was well controlled by the medications prescribed by Dr. Imam. Dad also did sleep studies and found he had severe sleep apnea. We never had to wait long and the staff were good to work with us. I would highly recommend Dr. Imam!

The staff is wonderful, the office is clean, easy to get appointment. BUT this doctor is primarily a sleep disorder doctor, he will do his best to defer any problem you are having to that part of his profession. He has a horrible memory, does not remember what tests or medications he orders or prescribes and forgets key elements of your treatment. And appears unwilling to use the patient file that is in front of him for reference, He is not knowledgeably in the medications or interactions of the medications he prescribes. This is very dangerous! He does not listen to what you as the patient has explained about current condition and problems. Every visit will return to the sleep disorder issue, no matter what has previously been discussed. I would NEVER recommend this doctor to anyone. If it weren't for his staff I believe this man would not have a practice!
