As a healthcare professional, I have found Dr. Balaker to be an excellent ENT doctor. She is thoughtful, through and explains procedures well. She always has time for questions you may have. I have never felt rushed. I highly recommend her. My husband and I have been very pleased with her care.

My husband is 82 and saw Dr. Balaker a few days ago. We went for a 2nd opinion as a different doctor had said that he needed a surgery which would take 2-3 hours and then would need another surgery 6 months later to reconstruct his ear. Dr. Balaker looked in his ear and said that his "growth" was not severe as he has no pain or drainage and that the bottom line is that he is having trouble equalizing the pressure. She will put in a little tube (like they do on babies) to solve that. NO SURGERY--NO RECOVERY TIME. And he can wear his hearing aids. The other doctor said that he could not even wear the one in that problem ear for the 6 months between surgeries. Also, she spent a lot of time with us, answering every question.
