Dr. Ashley Janney, MD

Have been seeing Dr Janney for at least 10 years. Moved with her when she moved to her new TMH location. The most kind and caring doctor I have ever met. She never rushes through the appointment. Highly recommend

My primary care retired over the summer. I needed an new one and picked Dr. Janney. A severe asthmatic, I couldn't get in to see Dr. Janney as a new patient for 8 months from time of call, and old office would not refill even maintenance medications. After 4 months without asthma medications, I had an asthma situation brought on by an allergy trigger. Went into Dr. Janney's office as a sick patient needing inhalers and steroids. During severe asthma attacks, chest pain is not uncommon as the chest gets super tight. Despite my 40-year asthma history, Dr. Janney was concerned there might be an embolism and sent me to the ER for a lung scan. Without going into the long detail there, $1700 and a number of cardiac tests (still no asthma treatment) later, it was established there was no heart or embolism issues. I had to refuse certain heart tests because they were expensive and I have no history of a cardiac condition, and what I needed was asthma meds. This is relevant because when I… called back Dr. Janney's office the next morning, explaining that I had been to the ER as they ordered and had managed to spend all day with expensive medical care and all I really need is some asthma medications, the office told me that they WOULD NOT treat my asthma because I had been non-compliant (refusing a pregnancy test and those additional cardiac tests), and if I wanted treatment by their office I needed to go back to the ER and "submit" (priceless exact wording), to any and all testing that the ER required. This place is terrible. In the end, I had to go to Patients First (yes, the walk-in clinic) where an awesome nurse practitioner (herself an asthma patient) took one listen, was amazed that nobody had recognized the severity of the asthma situation. She gave me the necessary meds, and I began feeling better almost immediately. To add insult to it all, Dr. Janney's office put notes in my digital record to say that I was a "non-compliant" patient - notes that now follow me around and undermine my reputation before I even walk in a doctor's door. Unfortunately, while they can put such comments in my personal medical file, my only recourse is here, online. Avoid this office. (Note, I only saw Dr. Janney herself for a few minutes, most of this interaction is with her office, and yet, this is her office.)

Worst medical experience ever.

Dr. Janney has been our family doctor for 15+ years, and we followed her to the new office two years ago. She is a wonderful doctor, very attentive and kind, and always ready to answer all my questions.

Very limited chance to ask questions and discuss- almost 0. Always feel rushed. You'll see her nurse a LOT but not her, the actual doctor. Bummer, had to leave and find a doctor who would allow questions and talk with you a little.

Dr. Janney is an excellent doctor. I almost always have to wait a long time to get in. Much as I don't like waiting for anything, she is definitely worth waiting for.

Excellent bedside manner - always takes patient concerns seriously.

My daughters cough was mystery diagnosis for over a month. She saw 3 different doctors and 1 PA, and Dr. Janney was only one that diagnosed her and gave us proper meds. We saw Dr. Janney through an urgent care appt, unfortunately she is not accepting new patients or we would be changing to her.
