Dr. Ashley Ketcherside

I saw Dr. Ryan for several years until I left Kansas City. She was always kind and attentive to what I was dealing with. She would listen to my health concerns, provide feedback, and listen to my opinions as well. I felt like she respected me as a person and a patient. She was an advocate for me when I needed her office to fight with insurance on my behalf. I would recommend her to anyone.

I started seeing Dr. Ryan when I first moved to Kansas City, and after giving her the benefit of the doubt have decided to change doctors. I always felt like she was rushing me and not really listening to my concerns. She helped me decide the appropriate birth control method that I felt was right for me, but other than that she was very dismissive of any concerns or questions I had. I felt that she would often try to rush through giving me information and didn't make me feel very confident when I was worried about something. I went in for a check because I had an abnormal pain that hadn't happened before and she dismissed it as GI issues or gas. I had her send a sample anyway and it turned out my worries were correct and I did have an infection. After that I decided that I would look for a new doctor.

I was disgusted with the lack of care at this entire practice. I never give reviews butI don't want anyone to go through what I did. I had 3 miscarriage scares and dr. ryan stop deemed my pregnancy not serious enough to grant fmla leave. Serious nausea and she forgot to put prescriptions in.

Arrived for my appt. early. Despite receiving a confirmation email and text, they had no record of my appt. Another HR woman came out front and her and the lady at the front desk proceeded to talk about me as if I wasn't standing right there. I waited for almost an hour then asked if it would be better if I rescheduled. I was told my name was next to be called. The receptionist said Dr. Ryan was way behind on her appointments. After another 15 minutes of waiting and two women being seen ahead of me despite arriving 30 minutes after me, I left. I'm sure she's a wonderful physician but since I never got to see her, I wouldn't know.
