I was seeing a different doc for YEARS for low back pain, leg pain & difficulty walking. I tried PT, spinal injections, steroids, weight loss, etc with no success & he refused to do surgery. I could not even get around a grocery store without a scooter or a wheelchair due to massive pain. When seeking a 2nd opinion I found Dr. Darwish in July 2023. After reviewing all my MRI and x-ray results he diagnosed me with lumbar spondylolisthesis, lumbar stenosis, and lumbar radiculopathy. He recommended surgery, and told me that it would help all my issues (yes, he did talk about all the risks too). I had surgery Oct 2023. He did a lot of work on my spine and the surgery was a HUGE success. When I went back to work in Dec, I was walking with no issues and no pain. In June 2024 (6 months post-op) I went on vacation and walked over 20 MILES in 3 days!! Dr. Darwish and his staff are AMAZING! They are caring and kind and thoughtful. If you are having back issues, go see Dr. Darwish!!!

I've had back pain for almost 20 years, then in my early 60's it became more chronic. I went from hiking a few miles a trip, to hardly walking a quarter mile. I had to get something done. I tried injections, ablations and chiropractors for almost three years. Then I went to see Dr. Darwish, he took one look at my X-ray and showed me the issue - my l4 and L5 lumbar joints were rubbing, "bone on bone" and recommended a spinal fusion. So, over the course of the last two months, I've met with Dr. Darwish and his staff (Daniel, Nadine and probably others). They were awesome, answered my questions at every turn. I would highly recommend Dr. Darwish and his team.

My second lumbar surgery. An excellent dr and staff. Made me feel at ease and like family. Will recommend him to everyone needing back surgery! I had a 2 hr drive but worth it.

AD was A1 from day1 with my synopsis & results. His team, Ashley & Nadine were extremely critical with everything before & after surgery. I had spinal fusion surgery on Wednesday & was at home on Friday recovering. I have had my 2 week follow up & look forward to my 4 week post operative upcoming because everything the text book plan that I was explained would happen has gone as planned & my recovery is great as well. Dr. Darwish & his team gets 6 stars from me

Absolute Best

Incredible surgeon and team! From beginning to end, the team made feel comfortable, they are all knowledgeable and explain every step of the way! I dealt with severe back pain in L5-S1 for 5 years and am currently in recovery from a MAS TLIF insertion and spinal fusion. I am so excited to have my life back! Dr. Darwish has no idea the quality of life he has given back to me and I am forever grateful!

Dr. Darwish is the type of surgeon we all want. He thoroughly listens to your problems, and completely explained the surgery. We never felt rushed by either Dr. Darwish or his P.A.,Ashley. No matter how many times we asked a question, and sometimes the same one, they were patient and made sure it was answered to our satisfaction. But most importantly he doesn’t rush into surgery. That alone won my utmost respect for him. Imagine, a surgeon who does not rush into surgery. That is the sign that he is a compassionate and truly caring doctor who only wants what is the absolute best for his patients. Dr. Darwish and his surgical team were amazing and made both myself and my wife feel at ease especially with the surgery and new health precautions that were now in place due to the pandemic. I am 8 weeks post op and have no pain. I still have some restrictions but I can walk and stand as long as I want without pain. And I can get back on my bike – and that is the best news I could receive!

I had a fusion surgery in May performed by Dr. Darwish. In my appointments prior to surgery, Dr. Darwish took the time to listen to everything I had to say. I had been to a total of 4 other doctors prior to Dr. Darwish with one of those doctors recommending Dr. Darwish because I couldn't use my insurance with him. I am extremely thankful for his recommendation! The doctor has always taken the time to listen to me, to ask me questions about my pain, and to lay out a clear plan of action. I had been in serious pain for a full year prior to my surgery with Dr. Darwish and during that time I had doctors who basically made me feel like I was saying things were worse than what they actually were. Having a doctor who listens makes a huge difference! He also performed the surgery that went great and I have no doubts that had I not been forced to wait almost a year before finding him and having surgery, I would be doing even better at this point. If you are having back issues or are in… need of fusion surgery, I can't stress enough that Dr. Darwish is amazing!

Three years ago, I began experiencing back pain. This past year the pain became excruciating. I was referred to Dr. Darwish by my pain doctor. From the first visit, I was impressed with him and his staff. They understood how apprehensive and nervous I was about back surgery. Dr. Darwish and his staff explained the procedure that was going to be performed - fusion of lumbar 4 and 5. He said he would do it as an out-patient and I would be able to come home the same day. He and his staff were available for any questions I had up to the day of surgery and afterwards, also. He assured me that the surgery would work and make my back feel a lot better. He was right. It's been three months since my surgery and my back feels great. I have no pain. I would recommend Dr. Darwish to anyone needing back surgery.

Dr. Darwish performed fusion surgery on my back a few weeks ago! I was clear on why I needed this done and saw X-ray on his completed work! I am almost pain free and only need to wear a brace for several weeks! Dr Darwish is a good listener and genuinely cares about his patients! I felt he always gave me as much time as I felt I needed! I highly recommend this wonderful man and Surgeon!
