Dr. Asim Said Khan, MD

Knows his stuff. Makes visits pleasant.

Dr. Khan is by far the best rheumatologist I have seen in over 40 years of this disease. I have waited a couple times to get into an exam room but I attribute that to the fact that he is a well liked and respected doctor and therefore very busy.

I don't know whether or not he's a competent doctor, but his scheduling practices are a mess. I waited 40 minutes past my appointment time today, then left. Last time he was 30 minutes late. No explanation offered to me.

Quick to get me out the door on all 3 visits I had with him. Brushed off all my questions, no conversation with me and was condescending towards me. Pushed Lyrica on me each visit although I was on another med I found helpful, and confirmed online later that he receives thousands of dollars from pharmaceutical companies. Think twice before seeing this doctor!

4 years ago Dr Asim Khan moved his practice some were else I was concerned I didint have a nother doctor I found a female doctor but then she retired I found another doctor but he was not what I needed at all a couple weeks ago I looked on the internet for DrKhan, things are all good it's like I never left Lord be praised!!

I always thought Dr.Khan was a great guy, until I actually needed him to be a Doctor. He was awful! Dismissive and rude he is! He yelled at me twice during our 45 second appt. I'm actually going to report his arrogant ask! How dare he yell at me the way he did. He thinks he's GOD I guess.

He sure is accurate in his diagnosis and his cortisone shots hardly hurt! He's the best! Always in a hurry so that's why I rated bedside manner and the rest average. But I'd highly recommend him.

Dr.Khan had me fill out pages of information that he never looked at. I am a long time North Clinic patient and an totally shocked they would keep him on staff. He did not listen to me and only talked to his "scribe. " I would try to ask him something and he was scurrying out. I was there for back and thigh pain .He had the nurse take me to xray and they took pictures of my KNEES!. I saw him again for about two minutes. ...do you think I was able to mention that. ..or anything else? I have shared with my primary care physician, who of course could not comment. Except he heard me! North Clinic should not be afilliated with this man.

The guy has a great personality but only spends about 10 min with you as he runs from one patient to the next. I recently requested all medical records from his office and after my review of his notes, became aware of him saying the same thing in reports and not UPDATING information. He REFUSES to fill out ANY AND ALL medical forms pertaining to work comp. or Social Security Disability. When I asked him why, he told me that he does not want to be responsible for someone not "winning" a case. Well I guess no 'cases' will be won, and no BENEFITS will be given if he also can't even keep CORRECT RECORDS. I have had to ASK HIM to refer me to places for therapy, ASK him to run additional tests to rule out other conditions that mimic my current health condition. I had to call for 4 days straight before I could finally get SOMEONE to call in my Rx for PAIN MEDICATION.

Dr. Khan is by far the worst experience I've had with a medical professional. After excruciating pain, exhaustion, memory problems, and other symptoms for months I went to my primary doctor. She ran tons of tests and I had abnormal numbers on my lupus screening so she referred me to Dr. Khan. After waiting 20 minutes in the lobby Dr. Khan didn't listen to me at all. He dismissed my lab results saying, "that doesn't mean anything, neither does that" and never even looked at the long list of symptoms I have been dealing with. He then told me I am tired because of low vitamin D, which I'm already taking medication for, and I would feel less exhausted once that normalizes. He basically told me all my symptoms were due to being overweight or they were "in my head". I had to BEG him to do lab work. He dismissed my nearly constant fevers. Didn't address memory issues. Nothing. Then he told me that the test results wouldn't be back yet the next day and he was leaving the country for 2 weeks so… it would take a while to find out. Complete lack of compassion, doesn't listen to patient concerns, and incredibly rude. I will never see him again.
