Dr. Asish Ghoshal, MD

Nightmare. We had the unfortunate experience after being required to have an examination take place here from our insurance provider. The doctor Asish himself stood next to his front desk receptionist and did nothing after she lost her patience with my Father and started calling him names/derogatory comments. The doctor himself did nothing comprehensive during this checkup. How this office still exists is beyond belief after reading other patient's experiences here.

I have never seen in all my years, the rude , up caring, no compassion, especially with neuro patients. Make complaint to your insurance company, the more complains they will pull they contract also call med-cal to make a complaint, if they ask for more money then the copy, that will land them in jail, fraud, I worked at medi-cal fraud unit.. Also call the medical bord, they will investigate that office... I will be making all these calls today.....I had to answer rating or I couldn't leave review, no stars, this office needs to be shut down

I experienced the vile wrath of the receptionist/wife of this doctor in an attempt to schedule a client of mine for a routine check up due to some recent concerns about his epilepsy. I was yelled at, called stupid, cursed at and eventually told by the woman on the phone that my client's mere Medi-cal payment was not even worth their efforts and time. I refused to expose my client to this person's rudeness and fear that if this is the way they handle a simple phone call I am certain that they would not be able to deliver good medical care for my client. I was beyond insulted and embarrassed for the doctor and his staff. I would highly discourage anyone from using this physician and exposing themselves to the rudeness, unprofessionalism and very poor service that he seems to condone.

Office Manager told me I was cheapscate for only wanting to pay my $50 copay, and not the $160 she was requesting. Told me I was crazy for wanting services for that low, and to buy some good insurance. Would not listen to anything I was trying to say, and would not stop talking over me, telling me to shut up, and that I was stupid. WOULD NOT Recommend

Everybody had trouble finding the house within the cluster of high-rise office buildings, the number is out of place with the surrounding buildings. the rudeness and total unprofessionalism was unbelievable. As I waited, I observed them arguing with every person that I saw come and go. First, EVERY person had a comment about finding the place. You are reminded on the phone and as you walk up to the window that they want the cash before anything else. The woman ahead of me was being so abused by the receptionist that she made the woman go in an out to her car a half a dozen times. Then finally after the last trip The person claiming to be the doctor came out an said "First door on the left." She went in and the doctor followed her and closed the door. Less than 5 seconds later, the door burst open and she walked straight out and left. Then the doctor walks out and calls my name, "First door on the left." He walks in behind me and closes the door and asks why I am here. … I said "I was having pain in my right hip and leg and it was getting increasing worse, I had an MRI done about 5 years " He stops me from saying another word, gives me an annoyed look, opens the door, puts his hands on me by grabbing me by the shoulders and shoves me out the door and pushes me down into a chair in the wait room. While I'm trying to figure out what just happened, he says "I will talk to your doctor"and walks away. I left and I should have been shocked, but I have had similar experiences with mercenaries who probably belong to the same club. I appears that if we weren't forced to check a star he would have none.

The Dr was fine - but his wife? Receptionist is a SERIOUS C-word. I saw Dr Ghoshal in Oct 2013. He was very nice. I liked him - he wanted me to get an ultrasound of my neck (to be ordered by my primary care- NO IDEA why he couldn't order it) and then come back. Meanwhile, I switched primary care dr's. And had explained to the new one the situation. So, 3 months go by and the receptionist PSYCHO RUDE lady calls me to schedule a "New patient appt". Now, I understood the confusion and tried explaining that I was not actually a "New patient" - She proceeded to try & argue w/ me?! I was like, CHECK YOUR FILES - I was seen in Oct. To which she got very nasty, at which point I said - "Forget it ! You have serious mental issues" And she went off about "You don't even know whats going on in your life - you say not a new patient" I just hung up, after saying don't call me again. SERIOUSLY - STAY AWAY. She has no idea how to speak to patients, could be cultural differences but Rude… & Disrespectful don't even do this justice! (I recently dealt with her again - NEW referral, and SAME rude lady and this time she hung up on me. LOL)
