Dr. Ata Motamedi, MD

Do you want a doctor that will watch the World Cup on his phone while seeing you for a physical? How about a practice that ghosts you when you schedule a telemedicine appointment? A physician's assistant that will not fax over the MRI paperwork after telling you where to go for an MRI? Enjoy your experience with disgruntled reception staff and incompetent management. Otherwise, shop elsewhere.

Called to renew a prescriptions for high blood pressure and was told the next appointment was 5 days away. When I asked if the Dr could call in a prescription until then she said no. I ask her to speak with the Dr and she said no, it's our policy. I told her I understand, but that I have really high blood pressure when not controlled. She refused to to speak to the Dr and told me to got to urgent care if I didn't want to wait. I will be finding a new Dr office where Drs make the medical decisions and not a rude, unprofessional phone screener.

The question isn’t what’s wrong? The question is how does he have any patients? A completely horrible experience from the waiting room to the medical consultation to the completely chaotic and dysfunctional office situation. I pity his staff. Such a waste of everyone’s time. Watching the frustrated staff and patients while waiting for an hour, I really couldn’t believe any place like it could be found in the 21st century. The doctor’s manner was exactly like the rest of the experience.

Very bad overall experience. Has no idea what he is doing. Has students doing most of the work and has staff who appear to be overworked with poor knowledge and extremely rude. Just a overall dysfunctional office.

Pleased with all aspects of the care provided by Dr Motamedi and his staff ever since his taking over Dr Dooley's practice.

I like and trust Dr Motamedi, I have been going to him ever since he took over the practice of Dr Thomas Dooley and I have developed a genuine trust and appreciation for Dr Motamedi's knowledge but his genuine compassion for his patients. I highly recommend him !

Takes the time needed to know you and your medical problems

Dr.Motamedi is always attentive,his staff is very helpful and kind when helping patients. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a dr. In the Olney area!

Have been a patient of Dr. Motamedi for several years. I highly recommend him for anyone seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable and caring doctor.

very amiable doctor, but spends 5 minutes, asking what do you want (RX); that's after 1st consult, which Is longer. doesn't consider individual circumstances. is afraid to prescribe adequate dosages despite prior indications by previous providers. happy to see you for 5 minutes after that. Staff do rest. Taken back quickly, where you sit in empty office waiting for longer than the time dr. sees you. Rarely examined other than most basic data (B.P. Chest). Friendliness from Dr. on 'how Good you Look". Often doesn't seem to respond to medical requests (i.e. for P.T). Will write an RX if asked, but have routinely been told to try and get another dr. to write the Rx.
