Dr Mohty has done carpal tunnel surgery for both of my hands. He told me exactly what he was going to do & the operations have been completely succesfull. Great experience.

Dr. Mohty talked me out of surgery and suggested holding off and trying other methods. It is not too often that you find a surgeon that cares for their patients to take money out of their own pockets for the greater good. We did a cortisone shot instead and the results have been great. I highly recommend him as an expert in the field of hand/wrist issues.

Doctor Mohty is a great hand surgeon. He told me exactly what to expect at each point of my experience. He removed a cyst at the inside base of my thumb. Everything went perfectly. He makes each visit enjoyable. His office manager, Angela is an amazing lady too. She keeps things running like a well oiled machine.

I met Dr. Mohty in the late 90's after my brother was seriously injured in a near-fatal car accident. While other doctors opted for amputation of the arm, Dr. Mohty pieced his arm/hand back together like a jigsaw puzzle. Today, although scarred, my brother has a full functioning arm and hand. His arm/hand are functional due to the expertise of this professional and caring doctor. Since the 90's, my mother has been a two time patient (carpal tunnel) as well as my husband (broken hand due to a crazy broomball incident!) This year, it was "my turn." I needed a basal joint arthoplasty surgery. I would trust no one else with this task. Dr. Mohty was able to give me the function and take the pain away from my dominant hand. As an active woman who loves to cook and play pickleball, I have my hand back, stronger than ever! Dr. Mohty is thorough, precise, caring and excellent. I would highly encourage anyone who wants the function of their hand back, to visit our family's only hand… surgeon! Thank you Dr. Mohty and Angela for your great care!

I contracted with Dr. Mohty to have a tumor removed from one of my fingers. My primary care practitioner had referred me to another hand surgeon, whom I chose not to use for a number of reasons. Anyway, I discovered Dr. Mohty by doing my own online research and trusting my feelings. I was able to get an appointment within a few days of making the call. While awaiting my initial consultation, I read through the letters of appreciation that his patients had sent him over the years. He keeps a notebook of these in his reception area. These letters not only validated my intuition from the research I had done, but they are a real tribute to what a dedicated and caring doctor he is. I became even more comfortable during my initial consultation with him. He takes the x-rays himself (an indication of his perfectionism) and then reviews them with the patient within minutes. He succinctly explained to me what the problem was and what needed to be done to correct it, including grafting… some bone from my wrist area. Dr. Mohty inspired trust and confidence, so I scheduled surgery with him after the initial consultation. We had a pre-surgery consultation where he explained everything a second time, but more importantly explained how to minimize or eliminate any post-surgery pain by keeping the hand elevated above the heart. I followed his advice and experienced no post-surgical pain. The pain medication prescription that he gave me was nothing more than an unused insurance policy. He has a reputation as being Doctor Painless and my experience certainly validated that reputation. My biggest trepidation about the surgery was that my finger might not regain the mobility necessary to play my guitar. Although I play the guitar strictly for personal pleasure, it is such an important part of my life that it would have been a psychological blow to not be able to play again. Thanks to Dr. Mohty, I have resumed playing as if I never had the surgery. I have the utmost gratitude for what Dr. Mohty has done for me and highly recommend him to anyone who might need hand surgery. The man is not only an outstanding doctor, but a wonderful human being. I could feel how he sincerely cares for his patients, which seems to be very rare in the medical profession. This guy is a real gem! I would be remiss in not mentioning his outstanding receptionist, Angela. I do not know the full extent of her duties, but I am quite sure they extend way beyond that as receptionist. She has always been a pleasant greeter and has never failed to call to remind me of my upcoming appointments. Dr. Mohty is truly blessed to have her as part of his team. One last comment – this is the first review that I have ever written. I took the time to write this because of the appreciation and gratitude I have for what Dr. Mohty did for me and the respect I have for him.

My primary care physician recommended Dr. Mohty for a “tendon release” surgery to correct a trigger finger situation in my left hand. I did not know Dr. Mohty before, but when visiting his office for the first time I noticed a “Top 10 Doctor’s“ article posted on the wall of his waiting room. My first visit was for a consultation. My wife accompanied me to that visit. We found Dr. Mohty (and his receptionist) very friendly. He looked at my hand and gave me three options: 1) Cortisone injections – but he said they seldom work very well, 2) do nothing until the problem becomes worse, or 3) Tendon Release surgery. I opted for #3 at the time. Five months later, the trigger finger did become worse. I returned to Dr. Mohty to discuss the Tendon Release surgery option. Surprisingly, he reviewed his notes from my visit 5 months prior and he had made detailed comments about me, my situation and even some of the comments my wife and I had made during that first visit. His notes were… quite personable and even humorous at times. We instantly knew that he liked his patients and the wellbeing of them. During the 5 months after the first visit, we did a bit of research about Dr. Mohty. We found he was educated in France at the Universite De Montpellier. His residency was in the Phoenix area. We also found that he has received several local awards: Patients' Choice Award, On-Time Doctor Award, Compassionate Doctor Recognition, Top 10 Doctor - Metro Area, Top 10 Doctor – City, and Top 10 Doctor – State. I highlight the Compassionate Doctor Recognition because that is the way he and his office staff are. I had the Tendon Release procedure done and I am totally satisfied. It was fast and done in a top-quality surgery center. Dr. Mohty lived up to his ratings. He treats his patients as his friends. He is very sociable and humorous. I highly recommend Dr. Mohty.

I've seen Dr. Atef Mohty several times for issues with my hand and wrist. He's an amazing person and physician. He is kind, intelligent, and a wonderful listener. He explains everything in detail and treated me like a very important individual. I would recommend him to anyone.
