Dr. Atef Labib Yacoub, MD

My mom was a patient with Dr. Atef Yacoub. Due to bladder issues she wears a permanent catheter, and the catheter is replaced once a month. In the beginning of this year she suffered multiple UTI's and was rushed to the ER once a week for a month to have it replaced. Catheter's are not meant to be exchanged that often and the ER doctor suggested she see her Urologist as soon as possible. The ER always ran test on her and her result always came back positive for UTI's. The day we took her to see Dr. Yacoub, her primary doctor had faxed over all the hospital records. After Dr. Yacoub examine her he said to me that he didn't understand why she was there. That the hospital reports show "No Infection" that she is okay, and they he is going to suggest a psychological evaluation! As I stood there telling him how, I don't understand how that is possible, and how I've been in the ER when they have said to me she has a UTI. He said no, show me where it said on the report, and that its all… in her head. The reports were loaded onto his computer and to be honest I didn't even know what they said. After leaving his office I called the hospital and they confirmed that each test that was faxed to his office showed she had a UTI.....each test! I also spoke to her primary doctor and she was also upset with his outcome. She reached out to him but never received a call back. My mom now has a new Urologist. Dr. Atef Yacoub you have lost your compassion to care for your patients, maybe not all of them, but you have. Maybe you were upset that we forced your office to see her or you really just don't care anymore. I don't recommend you.

Dr. Atef Yacoub CLAIMS that Ciprofloxacin is harmless and 100% safe, and anyone who experience's a side effect will be historical. It is a Black Boxed Chemotherapy, Neurotoxin, known to cause permanent damage to nerve and tendons even several months after discontinued use. Well then, when is the last time you studied? 40 years ago when you got your degree? and why is there a limit to the dose? do you think it's impossible to over dose on it? when I began to tell him the bad experience and nightmare this turned my life into he wanted me out the door and signed me to see a psychiatrist. I sought them out to cover every corner of doubters claims, the psychiatrist said I do not need psychiatry, I need to see specialist to help with the horrible side effects of this drug. Nerve twitching, muscle and tendon tears, unable to sleep for more than 3 hours for months, yeast infection that will not go away, the list goes on. What is in my benefit to make this up? closed minded poison urologist.… You're out of date, time to retire and let educated people do the job right.

Dr Yacoub is the best for all your medical needs

Our visit was fine dr. Explain very well our situation with a model and our options. Hes does have a weird sense of humor so maybe thats where people go wrong about him. But over all he took care of us so far. Our sec visit with him is next monday so we will see how it goes.

Dr is extremely rude..fails to explain medical condition. His staff is horribly rude and the service is poor..I will never recommend or return to his office...

I made this appt over the phone. The young uneducated girl had no phone adequacy, even worse in person when I came in, cannot make eye contact when spoken too. The doctor was pleasant, he could help me with my issues, so directed me to a larger specialized institute. I was taken back by the medical assistant, she was trying to give medical advice, and had no clue what she was talking about, she was a complete joke! I will never go there again! Very unprofessional staff!
