Dr. Athena Patelis, MD

I call this doctor for 10 days and some of the days twice or three times. When she finally called me back she was rude and said she couldn’t flake me as a patient. Even though I was told by the receptionist on the first day that she was taking on new patients and that they took my insurance when I repeated that to her she said well I’m not taking new patients and that I was told wrong and you could tell she was just trying to get out of not having to talk to me she was very very rude told me that she doesn’t take emergency patients which I don’t even know where she got that from because I never said it was an emergency in fact I made it quite clear it wasn’t an emergency but I would like to see her soon as it’s possible so if I were you don’t waste your time on this doctor because she’s not gonna waste her time on you I can guarantee you that. I’m even tempted to call the medical board and report her because this is not how a person who is calling for psychiatric help or psychology… help or whatever verbiage you would like to use this is not professional way to speak to somebody on the phone that you knew absolutely nothing about and be as rude she was so I’m sure that if she did take me I would’ve been very disappointed it’s obvious that she cannot even make time to pick up her phone and call somebody back believe 10 days is very excessive . Since I am not going to see this person I’ve called three other psychologist and they all return my call within 24 hours so I’m quite sure 10 days to return phone call is not proper or professional do not use this doctor she’s toxic
