Dr. Audrey Louise Randolph, MD

The quality of the visit was excellent! The Doctor was more than kind, thorough, intelligent and straight forward. Although it was my first meeting, my anxiety was at an all time high. She put me at ease! I have been to many doctors. There is no one like her!

Dr. Randolph took the time to do a very comprehensive evaluation, looking at me as a whole person, rather than the specific presenting problem. She was thorough in her physical exam and thoughtful in her questions as well as in her diagnoses and recommended treatment. She was able to answer my questions about why I had numbness and tingling in leg and explained why it wasn't what I thought was causing it. She noticed such things as redness in my eyes, which obviously isn't her speciality, but showed her concern and recommended I follow up with the opthamologist. Alice, at the front desk was friendly and helpful as well. Overall, I had a very positive initial consultation with Dr. Randolph and look forward to working with her to resolve my medical issues.

I made an appt. with Dr Randolph after seeing that she supposedly has a specialty in gait disorders. My issue, was very painful tendonitis and strain in both feet, after a back injury left me unable to sit or bend for close to 3 months. This put undue stress on my feet and ankles, which were already weakened with residual atrophy, over pronation, tendon and ligament problems (after having suffered RSD in both feet for many years). Dr Randolph has been practicing for close to 50 years and IMHO might want to consider retirement (note the newer reviews). She may have been a been a good doc in her day but my personal experience left me believing that her knowledge and/or diagnostic prowess is sorely outdated, and her chair side manner is jaded to say the least. Her clinical opinion of the injury/condition I went to see her for? I kid you notâ?¦ and I quote: "I'm not impressed with your symptoms"â?¦. HUH?!!! What does that mean (I asked her)? "I don't think you have… anything bad going on"â?¦ REALLY??? I guess the fact that I could barely walk without the support of a cane (and even then with great pain and difficulty) wasn't "impressive" enough for her to give me any kind of real diagnosis. "Do I have tendonitis?" I asked her. "No, I don't think so" she replied. "So what's causing all this pain in my tendons and making popping/cracking sounds when I move my feet or walk" (not to mention the obvious bruising on the underside of my ankle that she failed to notice)? Answer: "I don't know"â?¦ Yep, THAT was her diagnosis "I don't know". So after over an hour (including waiting and exam) I left her office with "I don't know what's causing your pain" and NO protocol to address it (other than some gentle stretching at home which I was already doing to not much effect). Are you kidding me?!!!! How about CLASSIC "tendonitis" for starters, which I have ALL the symptoms of (and have had previously as diagnosed by other physicians and more importantly FELT by myself). Perhaps she would have been more "impressed" if she herself could barely walk from the bedroom to the bathroom without debilitating pain and weakness. As for my back injury that began this whole episode? She examined that too by proceeding to press hard enough on my injured disc to cause me to cry out in pain, not once but TWICE. Is aggravating a patient's pain (I'm still sore from that 2 days later) really a necessary diagnostic tool?!!! Especially considering that I already had x-rays and MRI confirming my injury (among other back issues) for which her "physical" exam did not change. My honest opinion is that this "Dr" is loooong past her prime (if she ever had one as other's seem to think) for evaluating patients and their needs. At least in this instance. Her inability to diagnose (and treat) something as recognizable as tendonitis or general tendinopathy, along with causing PAIN to my injured spine, should give pause for concern to anyone considering this doctor. FYI to Dr Randolph: Patients who come to you for help don't need to "impress you"â?¦ Quite the contrary, YOU are the one expected to "impress", with at the very minimum, a 'correct diagnosis' and some manner of treatment to "heal" your patients pain. Furthermore, telling your patient "I'm not impressed" you might as well have said "I'm completely unsympathetic to your pain and suffering". But oh yeah, thanks for the "Icy Hot" recommendation. This is one of the few times I can actually say I feel kind of bad that my insurance company has to pay $$ for this visit (well, better them than me).

Will never go back to this doctor. She doesn't do anything to you and she is very rude!!! Stay away from her.

always find this doc to be very knowledgeable gives good advice gives good referrals helpful would always go to her when I have joint/muscle problems first before an orthopod...she is good to talk to about senior citizen health issues too

Dr. Randolph is not only a brilliant diagnostician, she is extremely caring and gives enough time to each patient. Sometimes that makes the wait a bit longer, but for the most part, her adoring patients are willing to wait. I've waited five minutes on average but if she is facing a patient with difficult problems she does everything she can to consider the treatment.

Dr Randolph fixes problems in the fastest, least painful or discomforting way possible. She has diagnosed and cured some painful nerve conditions in my hand (I play the piano)and my back. She does not like to resort of complicated, painful or expensive treatment options. Bravo.
