Dr. Samuel J. Rosenberg

Dr Samuel Rosenberg is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry) specialist practicing at Columbia University Medical Center in the department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine. Dr Rosenberg received his medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete his residency training at New York University Hospital's Rusk Rehabilitation Institute where he served as a chief resident at Bellevue Hospitals Rehabilitation Medicine service.Dr Rosenberg sees a wide variety of patients. His interests lie in the restoration of function in a wide population. He sees patients for geriatric rehabilitation, Parkinson's Disease, post-stroke care, spasticity management, musculoskeletal care, and general rehabilitation needs. He has ongoing research projects involving the care and rehabilitation of patients with Parkinson's Disease.Dr Rosenberg uses a variety of modalities and techniques including EMG guided neurotoxin injections, ultrasound guided …joint and tendon sheath injections, trigger points and peripheral joint injections.He is heavily involved in the inpatient rehabilitation setting as well. He serves as an attending physician on the acute inpatient rehabilitation unit in New York Presbyterian's Columbia University Hospital. Dr Rosenberg sees inpatients with spinal injuries, medically complicated patients, and stroke patients. He works closely with the therapy teams to ensure an improvement in the patients outcome.Dr Rosenberg also serves as the director of Sub Acute Rehabilitation services for the Department of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine. He ensures that patients are receiving quality medical and rehabilitation care in skilled nursing facilities affiliated with New York Presbyterian hospitals.
