Dr. Audrey Alana Strock, MD

They are just going to pay to take this review out but whatever. So after a couple years of seeing Susan she has forgot to send in pills a couple times and threatened to drop me as a client at one point because I was late to appointments 3 times. She knew when I started seeing her that I left my last Dr. specifically because I was dishonest with him and compromised treatment. I was downplaying my symptoms with my previous Psychiatrist I am pretty sure she must've forgotten this because after she caught me in ONE lie just once she then proceeded to say "I will have to set a therapeutic boundary here. All of this is damaging to the therapeutic relationship." and cut off my prescriptions. Medication she seemed to think I needed up until I admitted to being dishonest. That isn't all in terms of feeling completely disregarded but the next part is crazy. We set up a meeting to discuss continued treatment. Audrey Strock herself calls me because I had left a voicemail about how upset and… panicky I was. The reason I was distressed is because when I went to pick up my medication at the pharmacy they told me Susan had denied them being filled. I was rude but didn't use harsh words in my message. Audrey makes fun of me, is sarcastic in her responses and basically suggests that I don't deserve treatment because I stood up for myself. She literally kept calling me 'dude' in a dismissive way. She makes jokes using my wording because the problems I described on the phone were hilarious. It was incredibly petty. Then she says 'look dude I will talk to you friday' and then hangs up on me. I have never been treated that way by a professional, let alone a medical 'professional'. They are withholding treatment I desperately need and belittling me for needing it. Now I have to find a new psychiatrist while being made to cold turkey my 8 medications. I can't express how upset this makes me, I can barely breathe

Abandoned referred patient, unethical communications to patient, unprofessional. Will not refer patients to her practice and hope others deterred.

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 5 years old, but my parents didn't disclose this to me until I was 19 and struggling in school. From age 19 to 23 (now), I worked with a psychiatrist who threw various medications at me, with little consideration of my individual physiology, and even recklessly combined medications, landing me in the ER. She convinced me that we had exhausted our options, and I was crushed because I hadn't yet found a medication that would control my ADHD symptoms without also causing me to experience anxiety, or brain fog. I am so grateful to have been introduced to Dr. Strock. She evaluated me for ADHD, in depth, and confirmed that my forgetfulness, spaciness, lack of motivation, inability to finish things, etc. was due to attention deficit disorder. She then told me that immediate-release medications can cause long-term mental health issues, and heart conditions, and I had never had this explained to me before. Dr. Strock is unlike any other psychiatrist… because she takes the time to cater her treatment to individuals, she genuinely cares about her patients' wellbeing and FUTURE wellbeing, and she approaches patients with optimism and a "can-do" attitude (she told me that there were so many options I still hadn't explored, which gave me hope). I am now on Ritalin LA, and doing better than I have in years. I am so appreciative of Dr. Strock and I have so much RESPECT for her, which I never thought I'd have for a psychiatrist.
